Summary: Just got this about a month ago, installed it and works great! The install for the ps2 client is actually shorter that i would have expected. I was online in under 2 hours. Graphics and UI for this game were made for the ps2 so it looks really great, even on the wide screen. I always thought Sony could have thrown in a network adapter in with this bundle.

Summary: I finally got my hand on this game (for the second time), I almost had to walk thru the valley of shadows, but it was worth it! Nobody had this game anymore since is no longer available in most stores, but thanks to you I finally can sleep less . . . . THANK YOU!!!
You're missing out on a alternate life you never had!

Summary: if you are a gaming junkie, and spend more than the average person on your bum, I strongly reccommend this game. It has quirks in the sense of dealing with the slow paced start-up and aggravating times. Other than thatit's a very rewarding experience come end-game. The people can range from ignorant children to complete genius' discovering and understanding the games mechanics. All-in-all, it is another world. You feel as though you are your character.
Summary: It pains me to see that some of these reviews talk ill of this game. I read multiple reviews for this game before and after I had purchased the game on PC and when I also deployed like a fellow marine I bought the PS2 version. This game can not be judge at the low levels of 15 or so. The game is built for people to evolve the character they play in the world of Vana deil in a party.
Summary: I read the reviews about Final Fantasy XI for PS2 and I was worried whether or not it was worth the money. After purchasing the game, installing it, and then playing it I must say this game is awesome!!! I would definitely recommend you have a cable modem and not dial-up! And buy a simple USB keyboard for the PS2 it makes a huge difference in playing. They graphics are great and its fun playing with many different people from different parts of the world.
Summary: I am a US Marine serving overseas in Iraq and missing FFXI alot. I bought it a few weeks after it came out on PS2 and had been playing it until I left for the states. I have read some reviews and agree with some of it and disagree with some. That is to be expected. To be honest I used to think FF 7 was the most fun you could have on a console until i got FFXI. You start off as a Lvl 1 nobody and progress from there.
Summary: Well, after almost spending one year playing this game, I decided to write a review here. For those just starting into MMORPGs, I highly recommend FF XI, because this was also my first foray into the MMO realm. This game is excellently written, with many references to the franchise like Chocobos, Moogles, Cid, and most especially the crystals.
Summary: First off......don't listen to any of these negative review saying this game just sucks...it doesn't ....it is possibly the best mmorpg out there. All games have their pros and cons. Just to CLEAR all of this up....THERE IS NO ENDING BECAUSE IT IS ONLINE AND THEY KEEP ADDING MORE AND MORE UPDATES BY THE DAY. IN ANY ONLINE GAME YOUR GOING TO ALWAYS BE PLAYING...if you buy this for a fighting game...your going to be mad....
