Excerpt: Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII is an action game for the Playstation 2. This game stars Vincent Valentine who was a side character available in Final Fantasy VII. The game does briefly flash back to the end of Final Fantasy VII so you get a glimpse of some of the more iconic characters like Cloud but soon you will enter Vincent's story.
Excerpt: As follow ups go this game is good, fine i know its no longer in the whole final fantasy style battle scenes, but they have developed it in to a shoot em up, although the leveling up feature is still there. You play as vincent, your armed with your gun and continuing from the film final fantasy advent children your basically on clean up duty with people attacking (mysteriously linked to vincent?), and the only one to stop them you and a good arsenal of guns and magic.
Summary: It's no secret that Square Enix don't make shooters. These type of games tend to sell like week-old sushi in Japan (I guess they aren't as blood thirsty as the west!) so Square Enix do what they do best - the weird and fantastical. This is Square's first attempt at a third person shooter, and while it's not bad, it's far from perfect and probably won't attract the type of person who plays gun porn-fests like 'Black'.
Excerpt: This game is good as an add-on to Final Fantasy 7 but no where near as good, doesnt really explain how new things come about and the aiming system needs work. Propably would make more sense if you play this after playing Final Fantasy 7 and Advent Child.
Great game, but only good for a few days of playing

Excerpt: This new addition to the Final Fantasy series is an absolutely awesome one. With Vincent Valentine coming back in this high-powered, fast paced shooting/melee game. With lots of different guns and loads of upgrades, this game had me going for hours and hours with loads of extras, for example the fun searc for all the cinematics, which i thought was really good as you had to search for it not just get it.
Summary: I went against my instincts in buying this game, I'd seen the critical reviews it had got in the press, and I'm not sure I really approve of Square Enix's attempts to milk the popular FFVII franchise for all it's worth, but I'm such a FFVII nut I couldn't resist it, But fortunatley I was pleasently suprised with it.
Summary: I fineshed this game not that long ago and i have to say i really enjoyed it(For my first Final Fantasy game). I wasn't expecting much but how wrong was i firstly the graphics are exellent, the gameplay is Fun. This is not a hard game its really easy to be honest but it will keep you going and you will play on and on.
Summary: i am a long time final fantasy fan and to all the moaners out there, although this is a longshot from the traditional Final Fantasy that some people do not like rpg's. i like turnbased computer-does-your-fighter snoozefest as much as the next person, but i find it's good that Square Enix decided to make a game suited to other peoples liking.
