A major letdown

Summary: I played FF7 back on my PS1 so i was really looking forward to DOC when i heard about it. not only was FF7 my favorite game but Vincent was my favorite character and shooter games are my specialty. however after playing it for a short time i have been disappointed. the upsides of the game is that it has great graphics, good voice acting , the soundtrack, and mostly interesting characters. however the downsides are alot. First of all there should have been more guns.
Summary: The story wasn't that great but it does tell you a more about vincent and fills the holes a bit. It's gameplay is very good it's a third person shooter with good of customization so i'am on the fence on this game it just depends on how much you like ff7.
Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII (PS2): Dirge of Cerberus- not bad
23 November 2012
Summary: I first bought Dirge of Cerberus not long after it came out, but decided to sell it because I just didn't get it. I only bought it to begin with because it had the Final Fantasy tag, but I didn't have a clue who anyone was because, stupidly I bought it without playing FFVII. True, you don't have to play FFVII first, but it still went to the local game shop. Then I played FFVII and decided to give Dirge of Cerberus another try.
Pros: A good followup to FFVII if you enjoy shooter style games
Cons: Might not be what people expect for a sequel to FFVII
Summary: As an affictionate of the final fantasy gaming experience, this was a surprise. Liked the game, with great scenes and a good history (like all final fantasy rpgs), as well the rpg type in upgrading the weapons. Didn't like the innactivity of the rest of the team (they saved the world and what, got retired?!
Summary: Well... I started to play this game and got a few minutes in only to discover... the controls are absolutely baffeling! After dying around six times because no matter what i did i couldn't get vincent to turn around and shoot back or run away, and ut i back in its box and havnt played it again. I fear getting it out again incase it turns out that, yep, its still just as impossible to fathom.
Summary: A LOT of people, myself included, were very hyped up about the release of a new game involving the Final Fantasy universe, particularly as it sees the player in the shoes of Vincent, one of the most beloved characters of what is the best RPG ever made in my opinion, Final Fantasy VII. Be aware, though, that this is no RPG - it's a third person shooter with Vincent displaying his very best superhuman skill in taking down the baddies.
Summary: Im a huge final fantasy fan ive played alot of thegames so i decided to give dirge of cebreus a go for the ps2. The story is about Vincent mainly (one of the original ff7 crew) and it tells a story about his quest to stop a group of geneticly altered people that have begun killing ,the journey helps him discover more information about his own past and his loves Lucrecia.
Pros: Great cut scenes
Cons: Dark, violent alot different to final fantasy
Excerpt: "now this game i thought had pretty cool story line to it, it goes into depth on vincent valentines past, an also gives you abit of knowledge into his limit transformation tho it only shows two in total out of the four its good none the less, you get to see vincents first transformation on the finalfantasy 7 game an can use it wen u want so long as u have the limit item, and on the very last chapter you become chaos, vincents final limit transformation, ...
Pros: good game revisitin old finalfantasy7 with an updated look and feel
Cons: not as many creatures, no freedom to roam the world
Excerpt: "This is a direct sequel to Square's flagship title Final Fantasy VII. Fans of the original will either love it or hate it - and which depends on if you liked 'Advent Children' or not. For those who don't know, 'Advent Children' was the animated film based on FFVII; it picks up about a year or so after the final events of the game and follows the main characters - Cloud and Tifa. Basically, if you liked 'Advent', then you'll probably like this, ...
Pros: Nice graphics, astute fan - service
Cons: Frustrating combat system, some disappointing Bosses
