Try before you buy

Geronimo Garcia, Amazon
1 April 2006
  • Summary: This is a game I would highly recommend you rent from a store or barrow from a friend to try out first. I was expecting this game to be a lot of what it wasn't. Normally I will keep tabs on capcom fighting games and I did on this one despite not a whole lot of promotion.

The Capcom fighting greats in one of the last of its kind.

C.W. Fitch, Amazon
1 April 2006
  • Summary: I've been playing fighting video games for about 15 years now, and I will never tire of 2-dimensional fighting games featuring hand-drawn characters and backgrounds. It's a lost art nowadays, what with most if not all fighting games being 3-D and animated entirely by computer.

Fun at First, but You Realize it Could Have Been So much More

D. Mccright, Amazon
1 April 2006
  • Summary: Capcoms take on an all Capcom Brawler. While the idea sounded great on paper, the overall product left a lot to be desired unless you're a die hard Capcom or 2D fighting game fan. Graphics For the most part, recycled from previous Capcom titles.

A short list of fighters, but 1 brand new, + 4 new to US!

GuineaPunk, Amazon
1 April 2006
  • Summary: Okay, here is the gimmick. Capcom takes 4 characters from each of five previously released games and throws them together, old school moves, power bars and all. The result is an amazingly engaging 2-D'er from the respective kings of 2-D fighting games.

Call it 3 1/2 from me

gambitrmp, Amazon
1 April 2006
  • Summary: I like the variety of characters they got into the game & the overall fighting system. I'm playing it for the 1st time in 2012 & it seems to hold up pretty well to me. Of coarse I would like more characters but for the time period it's from, I can't complaign.

Five franchises for one game?

TwistaG, Amazon
1 April 2006
  • Summary: What strange turn of events has prompted yet another combination of characters from various 2D fighting realms? Surely not the surge of 3D fighters such as Dead or Alive and Mortal Kombat!
