Ok it isn't that good!

Thomas Cundy, Amazon
10 March 2005
  • Summary: I must say after owning the past FIFA games I am disappointed with this. The introduction of the passing mechanism has not really made gameplay that much better. The good thing about it is that the players themselves look OK but not brilliant.

Different

Amazon
10 March 2005
  • Summary: This is certainly not the FIFA of old. Yes, the volume of teams and competitions are still there, as are the kit details, but the gameplay is very different. It will take a while to get used to the new passing mode, and it can be frustrating when a pass misses its target...but it is realistic.

Fifa 2002 - by the numbers ....

Andrew Hebden, Amazon
10 March 2005
  • Summary: For more years than I care to mention, Fifa and I have got on really well. Christmas hasn't been Christmas without a new Fifa on my system. And even when things started to go a little wrong in the relationship, I still couldn't let go - it had all the teams, it had decent commentary, it had all the...

Something else

Amazon
10 March 2005
  • Summary: Fifa games have always beaten the likes of ISS as far as gameplay is concerned, and this is no acception. The new passing system is easy enough to master, so great gameplay can be enjoyed and this is the most realistic football games ever released.

FIFA Don't Bother...

G. Harvey, Amazon
10 March 2005
  • Summary: I have been a fan of FIFA for a long time, I liked (notice the past tense there), you could create your own cups and leagues with your mates. Well in FIFA 2002 you can't for that one reason alone I was very disspointed. The only way to play against your mates is via the not rewarding friendly game.

...at least the grass looks good.

david shepherd, Amazon
10 March 2005
  • Summary: On its release I would be lying if I didn't admit that I shuddered with a little excitement. It's glittering smooth animation and accurately detailed players and stadiums (even the grass looked as though it had been maintained by a world-class groundsman) only motivated me even more to purchase the...

Fifa 2002 Football game of the century

Sic fi reader, Amazon
10 March 2005
  • Summary: This game has a great creation mode so if you're looking for a game to create a dream team I'd go for this one. The graphics are just amazing. The game speed is a bit slow at first so if you rented it or played a demo, The game can be speeded up from the options menu.
