Summary: Firstly let me say that i have enjoyed most of ea games created but over the years it seems that they are going down the ladder instead of up. For instance i have been buying nba live, madden, ncaa and fifa soccer since they came out, and instead of adding new stuff along with keeping what was there...
EA SPORTS, Give me the John Madden of soccer!!!!!!
4 March 2002
Summary: I love EA Sports, but why are they doing the wrong game year after year. The other reviews with all my respect don't know or maybe haven't played soccer in their lifes. FIFA has the most beautiful graphics. All the players, most of the teams, good passing (its easier in real life).
Summary: My biggest criticism is the new passing scheme, which has changed the game drastically from previous years editions. There is a power bar and instead of passing it right to a player, you pass it in the direction of that player, and he runs to it.
Summary: FIFA 2002 is beautiful, as ever, and thankfully it is harder: but this is only due to a series of cheeky facts of life that, put together, are enough to make you put the game away for weeks at a time. You have better things to do, so maybe this is a good thing.
Excerpt: Games can be difficult for numerous reasons. They can challenge the player to hone their skills to the point where they will be able to complete certain tasks. Or they can force the player to memorize certain patterns in order to complete a section of the game.
Excerpt: MY BROTHER BOUGHT THIS GAME AND WHILE PLAYING IT I SAID TO MYSELF THIS COULD BE A GREAT FOOTBALL GAME. BUT AFTER A FEW DAYS THIS BECAME THE WORST FOOTBALL GAME I EVER PLAYED. NOT ONLY IS IT EASY TO SCORE BUT YOU CAN SCORE FROM KICK OFF AND THERES NO WAY TO STOP IT GOING IN.
Excerpt: Well what can be said, EA have finally removed nearly all the usefull options of play from FIFA Football 2002. Nearly.... I got the game home, could not wait to get my mates round and set up our new league.
