Summary: For the record, I am reviewing the European version of FIFA 2002, for PS2 (I imagine the european and usa versions are the same quality) written on February 12, 2003. I received this game as a Birthday gift around Christmas, 2001. It was frustrating to get used to the controls, and losing much of the time. But having progressed to NOW -- I LOVE this game! I have LOVED it for about 6 months.
Summary: That about sums it up. This game is rather. Other FIFA games have been fun, but not as much as this one. I loved FIFA 95 for the Genesis, but this version kicks 95's patootie. I especially like the fact that you can control the keeper from anywhere on the field.
Summary: This is the best football game I have ever played. It is amazingly detailed: player faces, shirt sponsors, shoe colours(!?). It's got all the best teams and players from around the world. You can play seasons, tournaments (Champion's Cup, EFA Trophy and when unlocked a few others) and World Cup qualification (but alas, no actual World Cup). The controls are slightly different than 2001, but the passing system is a joy when one has mastered them.
Summary: FIFA 2002 is the best soccer game out there. It has all of your favorite players like Brian McBride, Brad Friedel, and Landon Donovan. It also has all of your favorite teams like Arsenal and Manchester United. With analysts John Motson and Andy Gray calling the game, it gives you that in-game feeling. In conclusion, FIFA 2002 is "The Best Game EVER"!!!
Summary: Wow, this game is definitely the best one besides maybe Madden 2002 by EA Sports. This game is fairly realistic and allows you to have an incredible amount of control on every move you wish to make. There are only a few drawbacks, and that's only if you consider the first one a drawback. First of all, you can light up a David Beckham shot from just inside midfield and more often than a person would even try that shot in real life do you score.
Summary: this is a really good soccer game but there are some things missing. The graphics are really good but the computer has a really big advantage over you. there are a lot of special moves that are almost impossible to do which the computer will do very easily. Also you can't really see everything you need to be able to pass to your players, there's a lot of different camera angles but none of them are perfect.
