Terrific game, though it could do with some improvements
31 May 2001
Summary: This is probably the best in the FIFA series, the graphics are terrific and so is the commentary. However, one problem is that you have to constantly tap to make the players move forward, it gets irritating. The commentary is par, with a wide variety so you won't be hearing the same things over and over again. It does get boring in a single player mode coz it's easy to win big after some practice. Multi-player mode rocks! That's what you need to buy it for.
Summary: I rented this game from Blockbuster and its awsome. Anybody who loves quality sports games should add this to their collection! The graphics are great and the gameplay is amazing! I am definitely going to buy this soon and so should you! This is the greatest sports game I have ever played (I am like the biggest sports game fan)! This is a must have for all sports game fans!
Summary: Fifa 2001 is obviously the Best soccer game out.The graphics are stunning and the gameplay is also good. With over 50 teams, this is a have to buy. There is A bunch of things to do.I rented this game and the moment I played i knew i had to buy this game. The music is awesome and challenging when you put world class diffuculty on.The main attraction of this game is the great graphics and the good music.Rent it! and if you love it like me, buy it.
Summary: Let me first just say that I have had a lot of experience with soccer, having played it myself since I was a little boy in my homeland, Norway. And in my humble opinion I would say that this is by far the best soccer game made so far. It was a great joy to start the game and see that many of the smaller things that had caught my attention (negatively) from the previous FIFA games had been improved greatly, especially the graphics.
Summary: Fifa 2001 is the best soocer game out there. If you have playstaion 2 it is a must have. There aae tons of teams to choose from many different leagues. The teams range from D.C. united to Manchester United. There are great gameplay modes, too. There is a World Cup tournament that is quck and easy. There is also a season mode where you can pick from many different leagues. And if you just like to shoot around there is a P.K. mode in the training mode.
Summary: Great graphics, great gameplay, great fun! I've never been a big soccer fan, but picked FIFA up for the PS2 on the reccommendation of a store clerk. He told me that the graphics were the best he's seen on any PS2 game, and I have to say that I agree. It's extremely easy to get wrapped up in this game. One game leads to two, two to three, and so on. A few minor flaws include replay variations, but the game does feature roughly 6 or 7 angles to view on replay.
Summary: I have played all of the Fifa soccer games even before they came out in America. I think the first fifa soccer game I got was Fifa 1996 which i got while i was in England. And i have bought all of the Fifa soccer games since then so lets say im speaking from experiance. THis game has the best graphics by far of all of the games but this allways happens when the new game comes out. The game playing is alot more realistic.
Summary: There seem to be complaints of lack of innovation in the series, but then again, how much innovation can you bring to a title that has the best control around for a soccer game and incredible graphics. Sure the largest improvement in this release is in the graphics, but the controls in my opinion are improved as well.
Summary: Many soccer games have come out in the video game world, but none are as good as Fifa 2001. The game looks so real because of the excellent PS2 graphics. What makes the game so great is that you have such good control over the ball. I think that this product is for ages 12 or older because that is the age range for kids or adults who usually enjoy this type of sport game.
