Excerpt: EA Sports' FIFA series is so long lived and popular that it's become an institution unto itself. I'm particularly fond of FIFA: Road to the World Cup on the N64, which came out a few years ago. This year we have FIFA 2001 for PS2. If you're lucky enough to actually own a PS2, like me, then read on. Otherwise, you probably don't want to know how good this game is - it'll just depress you.
Excerpt: Well by reading the headline you probably think that good ol' SolidSnake finally went bonkers. But actually being the HUGE Jim Carrey fan that I am, I saw The Grinch for the third time and just got the urge to do a little rhyme. If you don't like it, sue me!
Excerpt: FIFA 2001 is absolutely gorgeous on the PlayStation 2! This game has got all the eye candy of Madden (plus more!), with the added element of what seems to me to be the most incredibly accurate announcing on any video game ever. Players are beautifully rendered and are full of emotion whether they are complaining, yelling, pushing, or running around after a score. Even the little things like splashing rain are splendid.
