Sublte changes make a big difference

David J. Monzon, Amazon
2 June 2008
  • Summary: FIFA 08 on the PS2 may seem the same as FIFA 07 at first but turns out to be a significantly improved game in the end. With subtle improvements in graphics, gameplay and other aspects of the game it plays a smoother and more adventurous game of football than last year's version. Graphically, there seems to be more detail, specially noticeable on uniforms with wrinkles, badges, etc. The passing system is much improved from last year's iteration.

Let's Be Realistic

S. Bechler, Amazon
5 May 2008
  • Summary: Fifa is the only choice you have if you care about playing a game with accurate info. Some complain about game play (unreasonably), but the real club and stadium names make this the only product you can really consider if you actually follow football/soccer. This is one of the top games on the market today, sport or otherwise. 4 stars because any yearly game could use some improvements from year to year.

Still improving

Thomas W. Robinson, Amazon
26 March 2008
  • Summary: FIFA has long been a fun game, but some have stated that FIFA was more arcade-style while its main competitor, Pro Evolution Soccer, was more realistic than FIFA. The people at EA Sports heard the detractors and have worked for the past couple years to make FIFA more realistic while keeping the fun intact. With this year's game, they have made further strides in this pursuit. While FIFA still may be a step behind PES in terms of realism, it is now a very slight step.

The best fifa yet

Whips "wilyboo", Amazon
27 January 2008
  • Summary: This is probably the best fifa yet, however if you play the next gen versions (ps3, xbox360) you will be disappointed in the graphics. With that said, the gameplay is very good, and the new be be a pro mode is a remarkable innovation in football sim. The new manual cross and manual true pass makes the gameplay a bit more difficult than previous versions, but its a lot more realistic and hence a lot more fun to play. I would recommend this game to any soccer gamer.

The game is good,

Ryan Kelly, Amazon
29 December 2007
  • Summary: Don't get me wrong, I like it. After a few bouts with the pro manager seasons, I decided to finally do Co-Op, which I didn't do before because sadly it's limited - Your team doesn't get better, no transfers are made, and you can't even view the league table so WTF is the point of beating teams, right? It's like, play this many minutes and your player gets better.
