Summary: EA's Fifa Soccer 07 has so much to offer. A great soundtrack. Hundreds of teams from everywhere you imagine. It offers a deep and fun career mode where you control things from the team to ticket prices. However the gameplay is good but could have been better. At times the controls feel clumsy. For example to dribble at top speeds you have to use 3 buttons. The trick stick is a good addition but some moves are hard to do like the flick over head.
Pros: Awesome audio, Loads of content, Just plain fun
Summary: I'm not much of a soccer fan so that could be why I don't like it as much as others might. I do enjoy playng sprts games and sim games, that's why it sounded interesting. The sim part is better than the game play itself. Being in control of the behind the scenes of the soccer team is fun, but the game play is a little difficult and the controls could have been layed out better.
Summary: I do not know if it is the buzz dying of the world cup or if it is practically the same game. But i feel 06 and 07 are identical, maybe the graphics are a little better. I still played the game a lot but i dont know it seemed too much the same as 07.
Summary: I have been an avid fan of this game since FIFA 98. But I should admit that FIFA 07 was a big let down after FIFA 06. Infact I traded in my FIFA 06 to get FIFA 07 :(. Though there has been some improvement in Goalie AI the overall game is very disappointing. Once you get the hang of the game, beating anyone is very easy. I guess it is high time that I tried out WE9.
Summary: I rented WE9... thought it was pretty cool and I returned it. A few days later I decided to go buy WE9, but the store only had FIFA. I figure how different could it be? Well, I've had nothing but regrets since. FIFA is still cool because I could actually build up RSL and win the MLS Cup, but the actual game itself feels like it was made so a little kid can play it. It's not challenging, and it doesn't feel at all like reality. WE9 is very realistic.
Summary: I've been an avid Fifa player since the mid 90's having owned the original Fifa game and a constant player ever since. I had high hopes for Fifa 07 because of its competition, Winning Eleven. Winning Eleven has taken a lot of Fifa's marketshare in the last two years and I don't believe Fifa 07 will help EA in regaining any of that. I have been playing the game extensively for over a month Here are my Pros and Cons of the game.
Summary: Fifa 07 in my personal experience marked a milestone in the Fifa series because I had only played 98, 99 and 2002, all of which had a very "mechanical" gameplay (ball glued to your foot, every shot directly to goals, you know the stuff, not much fun). However, I think 07 started trying to imitate the Pro Evo Series from Konami as in a totally different engine. Players now can "push" the ball along. Ball doesn't stay glued to your feet. Physics are quite better.
Summary: I bought FIFA07 this week for a knockabout, the action is great, the players features are cloned for the most part although as all in-game views are distant, who cares! (forget about the fancy pics on the game previews above). The menu system is okay.. Has anyone else's PS2 version frozen during a game? Mine has frozen 3 times in the first week and the PS2 has felt really hot... not much fun in the closing minutes of a Liverpool/Everton 1-1 game!
Summary: Honestly, the mamager mode is good but gets boring after a while, Gameplay is a bit stiff tho better than fifa06 which was like runnin like a robot. Fifa should aim to allow players to run a bit more free and include a referee in a game to make it more realistic not just popping up when there is a foul. The only thing fifa 07 that differs from in Pro Evolution 6 is the liscence for a tenner you can buy a official liscence option file as I have done.
