Summary: I was looking for a "scary" horror game that has an interesting story line. Fatal Frame met that requirement and then some. Although, by today's standards of game play and video quality it looks a little retro; however, the story line is awesome and captivating. You may have a difficult time finding Fatal Frame 1 and 2, but Fatal Frame 3 can still easily be found (Jan 2014). Product was delivered as expected, quality packed. Would buy for this seller again.
Summary: Curious about the first game and a fan of the other newer games, I decided against my better judgement to get this game. Having played the other PS2 games and the wii game, this version took quite a bit of adjusting to get used to. The graphics and gameplay are definitely dated especially if you have played the fourth game. The atmosphere is exactly as you would expect from the series, the creepy vibes with the traditional Japanese aesthetics skewed about.
Summary: My roommate used to have this game and I played it halfway through. Now that it's well into the next console generation, I've been bored with some of the titles out there and went back and bought this game with a mind to finish it. It still impresses. I won't go into the plot, as many other people have explained except to say that you're a nearly helpless little girl with a camera trying to exorcise some pretty vicious ghosts, find her brother, and get out of the messed...
Summary: I don't own this game- I rented it once and sadly never completed it... :( Now games like Resident Evil are supposed to be scary, but I played one and it just made me annoyed. I did jump, but it was all the damn unending zombie troops popping out of everywhere. This really is scary, which I was NOT expecting. I actually picked it up because of the cover; I love Asian horror movies! The ghosts were all so different and unique, not to mention grotesque.
Summary: Fatal Frame is a good game to buy if you're into survival horror games. The plot was okay, it kept me into the game until I beat it at least. What's really freaky is that it's based on a true story. To think, someone really had to go through that ritual. Well anyways onto the stuff you want to hear: The main character's method for fighting off the ghosts (which is what you do throughout the whole game) is pretty lame, at least in the beginning.
Summary: I have just rented this gme from blockbuster and it has to be one of the scariest games i have ever played. I have played this game for about 2-3 hours now and i would prefer to play this game when people are home or better yet in the room. At times this game makes you feel like crying to your mnommy when hear a knock on the wall next to you, or a ghost decides to get your attention by scaring you half to death, or a door slams behind you.
Summary: Be prepared: Start out at night or early A.M.. (It's a kick to play after Midnight) Turn out all the lights. Spread out your favorite comfortable blanket or pillow on the floor (yes the floor). Take your late night goodies with you; you've got your soda and your snacks right beside you. Shut the ringer of your phone off (just incase your best friend tries to call you at a crucial moment), shut the door, and if you are really daring and really brave..
Summary: This game has stunning graphics, a bit dark, but that adds to the overall mood of this game.Character control is slow and can be cumbersom, but as you play it will become easier. This game was designed to scare you, and with the lights turned down and the surround sound up, it will scare you. The camera you use throughout the game as a weapon is unique, and gives this game a fresh feel over current games.
Summary: I thought this was a really good game. The controls take a while to get used to, but are adjustable and fit the game well. I'd say it's as scary as Silent Hill 2 and that's saying something. I definitely recommend this one.
Summary: If you liked Silent Hill 2, this game is definitely up your alley. Nearly everything in the game, from the grainy B-horror movie textures to the heartbeat in the controller, make this a Silent Hill clone. So... If you are a fan of the genre, and are not more than happy to plug a box of shells into a zombie before it falls to the ground (only to knaw on your leg once it's there), then the combat system is a welcome change.
