Summary: So, I just got into scary games and I heard about Fatal Frame. It's supposed to be like THE SCARIEST game of all time. Well, let me tell you, IT IS! I got scared playing (well, not even playing, watching) the first 5 minutes, in the dark W/ no lights on and surround sound. *side note* I think any horror game MUST be played in: -surround sound -No lights, just darkness -No one around (although, playing w/ friends is fun ^ ^) Getting into the game now, the game is very...
Summary: Sometimes, ideas for original Survival Horror games surface. However, most of the time, the overall game fails to meet expectations. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly does not. It's eerie atmosphere sucks you into the game; immersing you into the fear of paranormal occurrences. You take on the role of twin sisters, but you always feel alone. There is not one moment of safety present in this game.
Summary: This game is cunning. I was praising myself too early at being able to handle the tension, but a couple of ghosts later I was in a strange trance, a place of limbo where I could not stop playing but didn't like continuing either. A door would shut behind me and I would about go into a siezure. A hour and a half later I was upstairs watching the Antique Road Show with my parents. The drama and style have a strong transporting ability.
Summary: This game is personally my favorite. The scare factor on this game isn't the looks of the ghosts, but the tension. The walking in to a room and not knowing what is waiting there for you. I personally like the game, because of the settings. Which are beautiful. There are a few things that annoyed me about the game, first and foremost is Mayu.
Summary: Many games try to be scary, but fail miserably........ Not this one. I am not going to get into the subject of what happens in this game, that is for you to find out. However, I will give you an advisory of what to expect. There are two things that parents may want to hear about before letting their children play. Scariness: Deeply Disturbing, and Scary Situations. Many pop-out at you suprises. If you have seen "The Ring," get ready for a suprise.
Summary: I have to disagree with all the emotional kids out there saying the game is the scariest ever. That is not the truth. This game is scary at the begining but once you see the first ghost you have seen them all. Also they do not have the ability to make you jump from your sit. The atmosphere is the greatest thing in the game and it is the one thing that makes you feel in suspense.
Pros: In Fatal Frame 2 the sounds literally make you jump out of your seat. When your character, Mio, turns aound a corner in the house, a ghost pops out and scares the living daylight out of you! The graphics are very realistic, especially when it comes to gho
Cons: I have no complaints about the sound except for the fact that I can't sleep at night anymore...LOL. The graphics for when the Asakura twins wear kimonos later in the game, the sleeves are too thin and they're too jerky when they move. For the gameplay, it
Summary: I rated and own Manhunt which I said was the goreiest game. But this game classifies as the scareiest game. I have never been so freaked out by a video game and i'm in high school. This game is great in pretty much every department. First of all it has a hell of a story line and very good gaphics for a game in this type of category. The ghost pop up and disseapear during gameplay freaking you out a little.
Summary: Fun and interestingly creepy. You start out in a village haunted with ghosts. You must find a ghost destroying camera that has many upgrades and film types of varying strengths. You and your twin sister are involved in the plot. She is involved in a killing ritual, but how? Can you save her and you? The ghosts are cool and creepy and it's fun to take them down. I hope you enjoy this game too. Don't let it scare you!
