Excerpt: The EyeToy and its game EyeToy Play was probably one of my favourite games a couple of years ago, and however much it hurt my arms the next day from swinging them about so much, it still kept me wanting to play. Now I suppose everyone would think of the Wii or Kinect when they think of games that involve using yourself instead of a controller, but the EyeToy was one of the first things to have this when the Playstation 2 was still one of the main game console.
Pros: Something for everyone, fantastic multiplayer, variety of games
Cons: Available in more advanced forms i . e Wii, Kinect
Excerpt: Eyetoy Play is a new type of interactive video game using the Eyetoy camera, Eyetoy is exclusive to Playstation 2. First of all you will notice that Eyetoy play comes with the Sony Eyetoy camera, the device is pretty small and lightweight and is installed and recognised easily by your Playstation 2 but plugging in to one of the USB connections. This is used to see yourself on the screen and the quality of the camera is actually very good.
Excerpt: This is a quirky little game which most people will find is really entertaining if they let themselves get into it. The game works solely (you can use a controller to navigate menus if you want) using the camera which tracks your movements and displays an image of you on screen. The update of this image is very fast so there is scarcely noticeable lag between making a movement and seeing yourself make the movement on screen.
The EyeToy is a fun and enjoyable piece of kit for the PS2

Excerpt: The Eye Toy play installment was the first interactive entertainment system to be used by the playstation 2 that i used. I found that the whole eye toy concept was fantastic considering this was before the Wii. The games include washing windows and playing ninja, which i found quite good as a work out, as i would use my arms most of the time. There are many different games that almost anyone can play.
A great game but you could get bored easily depending on what you like.

Excerpt: When I first heard about the Sony Playstation 2 eye toy I had to purchase one. When I got It I thought it was so much fun, there is quite a selection of games you can play and if you get bored playing solo then you can get your friends or family to join in the multi-player mode. After a while thought I did get quite bored of it and unless you don't mind playing the same game over and over you need to purchase more games which can cost quite a bit.
Excerpt: My friend told me that her brother had given her an EyeToy as a birthday present, and it was really fun. She described some of the games to me, and it sounded like a children's game that you play on the computer, with a PS2. I wasn't too thrilled about it, but I was a bit curious to see what it was like, and why she enjoyed playing it so much. **THE EYETOY** Not many people seem to have heard of an EyeToy, so I'll explain a bit about these before going onto the game...
Pros: Great to keep you fit ! Really funny to play with friends !
Excerpt: After purchasing a PS2 a few years ago I was keen to buy a variety of games and enjoy playing them. It wasn’t until the beginning of this year 07 that one of my friends told me about PS2’s eye toy device which got me instantly intrigued. I went to Game and bought an eye toy that came with the game Eye Toy Play Sports for around £34.99. This game can now be bought cheaper either new or previously owned on eBay ranging from £4.99 upwards.
Pros: Endless entertainment, multi - player funcitonality
If your looking for an easy party title with a camera there is no where else to go than the EyeToy.

Excerpt: The Sony Eye Toy for PS2 uses your body to play the games instead of the Dual Shock controller. There are 12 addictive games to play. You will be getting a decent workout as you rapidly spin plates, catch and explode fireworks, or play a "simon says" style game trying to match up various dance floor lights to the beat of disco music.
