Summary: This is a great SIMULATION hockey game. If you want to knock people down and fight try NHL Hitz which is also great. NHL 2004 is also a good game but 2003's stupid comments during gameplay really nailed the coffin shut on that series for me. ESPN NHL Hockey is my game. It is a true to life thing.
Summary: Just like any game, this game has good points and bad points, but overall it is a fantastic game. One of the best parts of the game are the graphics. The close-ups of the players actually look like that player.
Summary: I got this as a christmas gift and was amazed at the game quality. The graphics are awesome. My dad walked into the room on Christmas while i was playing and asked if my home team was playing. If you dont look closely you may think its an actual hockey game on ESPN.
Summary: This game has some of the best graphics I've seen on PS2 yet. I do however dislike the way the controller is set up. I hate having to use the analog to play. They don't even let you change all the features on the controller only the buttons.
Summary: This game could absolutely rock. It has a realistic feel to it, as compared to other games that now stink (cough EA's failed franchise cough). Finally theres a game that the scores dont wind up at 9-6. Its as real as a hockey game has ever been so far.
Summary: This game is extremely fun for the NHL fan. The graphics and gameplay are amazing, the skills competition is 99% really what they do in real life, and the goals are so cool! If you love hockey games beg for your parents to buy it.
Summary: I have been an avid fan of EA Sport's NHL Series for years but I have been left wanting more out of the series the last few years. I fully enjoyed NHL 2002 with it's interactive story mode but the last two years have been less than perfect in my mind.
Summary: Sega is definitely beyond a doubt the heir apparant of 989 as far as being major competition for EASPORTS. I bought this year's release, because last year's had some features missing from EA's product that I enjoyed such as deeper management control of your roster.
Summary: I love NHL 2k3 last year and I was so excited for this year's edition. In general I think everything bad about last year's game was fixed in this one. The new added features are a lot of fun and give you something new to try. The commentary is just amazing and is the biggest upgrade.
