Not for me...

bretroactive, Amazon
5 June 2009
  • Summary: I thought I'd try this game, but if I have to spend more than a few minutes learning the button control scheme it becomes work, so I quickly shelved it. Maybe I'll give it away, but I only paid a penny plus S&H, so whatever. It looks like it would be great if I ever care to learn the controls...

live vs espn

  • Summary: I somewhat enjoyed live 2003 last year and figured this years' version would be an improvement. Not so. It is basically the same game. The much-hyped freestyle control is weak, and the overall feel of the game is not very smooth. As for the graphics, it might as well be on the ps1. The franchise mode is not very well put together. The one bright spot is the online play.. The games run smoothly (using broadboand of course).

So much promise, yet little delivery

  • Summary: Once again Sega has managed to capture the NBA's graphics and excitment and put it all on one CD. ESPN 2004 looks awesome, the ESPN settings and menus as well as the player faces, expressions and uniforms are phenomenally recreated, but as with all games, there is a set of issues that may only bother me. 1) The pregame intros are gone. Now you see your players tie up their shoes and get right to the tip off.
