Summary: Forget any of the NBA Live games,or any of the NBA games that Sony made...also forget about the newer NBA 2K games on the PS2.Such as NBA 2K8-12.All those were watered down crap. This game right here,NBA 2K5 was and STILL IS The best NBA Basketball game on the PS2.It may be older now,and the rosters are all outdated...but this game is still SO much fun to play.Plus it is dirt cheap,so pick it up,and leave all those other NBA games alone.THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY!
Summary: even though i have not yet played this game, i can tell that it is about basketball. just look at the title for crying out loud. basketball is a game about hoops and nets. yea, even tall men and teams that compete to score and win. it's a game of dunks and slams, of rebounds and assists, of free-throws and 3-pointers. yes, this is a basketball game that is cheap. it is inexpensive. and besides that it doesn't cost very much.
Summary: This is a great video game why you can change players and their stats, and the introduction at games are just like the original way a basketball game is suppose to be like. It would have been even better if they had the starting lineups just like in NBA 2K2. I reccomend others to play this video game.
Summary: I love this game alot cuz it looks like you're watching the game. On season mode I thought it was preseason but it wasn't I was VS The Sacrmento Kings and I lost by 6 in overtime so i was 0-1. The only thing I don't like about it is there's no halftime shows. My brother hates this game and he never even played! It's because there's no halftime show but if there were he'd like it alittle! BUY IT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: This game is awesome! It is a lot better than NBA Live because it has access to actual ESPN reporters. The graphics in this game are excellent. In season mode, You can even have discussions with the players on your team.
Summary: It beats NBA Live hands down in gameplay and graphics. It beats NBA Live hands down with the ESPN Presentation. It would be nice if there was a Stuart Scott Halftime Show though kind of like Chris Berman in NFL 2k5. However, There is one of thing that I would definitely like to see in this game next year. All Star Weekend Mode- This is the one extremely fun mode that NBA Live has and it is the only reason that I ever play that game with friends who have it.
Summary: First of all let me just say this game is awesome and worth the $20 you'll pay up for it. The best part (by far) of the whole game is when Bill Walton, the announcer, comments that, "Ron Artest's commitment is an inspiration to us all," and that, "he finally has the mental aspect of the game under control." Other than that bit of greatness, the game's graphics are just so-so, but the presentation is superb.
Summary: This game is a lot better than live, you have a great price - $20. A game that delivers on many aspects of gameplay (franchise, 24/7). Live does have the dunk contest, but give this game one year and it will too. Live's Graphics havenot improved from last year, this game makes you feel like you're watching tv. The commentary on this game is really cool.
