Summary: I love this game! I bought it to play with my boyfriend at the time and it was great fun. It is something two people can play together too as you can discover clues together and work things out together.
Summary: This is a problem solving game with a difference. You are the character of Guybrush Threepwood who was a wannabe pirate who becomes an unlightly pirate. You start off with him coming back from his honeymoon with the beautiful and intelligant (unlike Guybrush) Elaine Marley. From there you have to solve various problems from stopping pirates who are taking over your ship to recruiting a new crew to saving the Tri-Island area and off course escaping from Monkey Island.
Summary: This is one of my all-time favorite games! It is so different from all the violent, killing games that are offered today. It is witty, funny, colourful and just all around enjoyable for people of any age. I wish they would make more games like this!
Excerpt: "Escape from Monkey Island is an RPG Adenture that lures you into the game and leaves you on the edge of your seat wondering what's next. It's a really cool game in that it reeks of originality, even now years after it's release its cartoonish graphics set it apart in a way that it doesn't really look dated. It's thought provoking and really challenging and i'm sure anyone who plays it will enjoy it. Without giving too much away the main character ...
Pros: Depth, witty and great to play .
Cons: You could lose your social life if you get too involved ;)
Excerpt: "...click games then you'll love escape from Monkey Island. You play the role of Guybrush Threepwood who has to piece together the ultimate insult before it falls into the wrong hands, in order to save the future of Melee Island and his wife the Governor. It took me months to complete this game (but this may have something to do with the fact my PS2 froze and everytime I loaded my saved game it froze at exactly the same place which ment I had to ...
Summary: I was bought this version of Escape for the Christmas that PS2 came out, and I absolutely loved the whole way you go about playing and the way the puzzles make you think in a certain "Guybrushesque" style. So I set about playing the others in the series (thankfully finding out a friend owned the first 2 and was also a devotee), and am now a devoted fan. Some people might find it a little difficult to get in to, but once you've got the mindset it's a great game!
Excerpt: "This is my first review and therefore I hope you will all bear with me in case the format is not as you would normally expect, but I was so keen to add my opinions on this game I neglected to check out any other reviews first. I first became addicted to the Monkey Island series back in the days of the Atari 520 personal computer, granted I am a little older than many of you would be expecting to review these games but once hooked you keep coming ...
Pros: Superb gameplay and graphics, funny and enthralling .
Cons: You will probably find yourself forgetting to pick up the kids from school !
