Excerpt: "...to confirm this. All in all Ephemeral Fantasia is one for RPG completists, rather than general gamers. It is likely to bore younger players, and older players may find positioning and working to the timeline frustrating. If it can be found on budget, say less than £10 it might be worth a look to say you have played it, but if possible I would suggest renting this game before buying it. ...
Summary: I was looking to buy this game after hearing good things about it. I found a friend that hated it so much - he GAVE it to me for free. I was so excited - I'm a HUGE RPG fan...but boy was this a dissapointment. There's a reason why they don't import crappy first-gen PS2 games...they're terrible. The gameplay is horrible.
good game, but here is the reason some people don't like it
20 December 2003
Summary: i love this game, but people don't seem to like it. the reason being is that they lack the motor skills to hold down multiple buttons, thus, creating a bunch of babies across the internet. if you didn't like the game because of the graphics, then you need to stick your head into a blender. because almost everyone interested in RPGs loved final fantasy seven, and we all know about the graphics.
Summary: I got Ephemeral Fantasia from Hollywood Video, played it, then bought it. I played it, but then got so totally confused and stopped playing. I've started up again and am starting to get the hang of it. I have to say though, it's very difficult. I suggest you look up a walkthrough on the internet. It'll take you a while. But I LOVE the fact that you can save wherever you want to. That's a MAJOR MAJOR plus. And the 'guitar-playing' thing is really fun.
Summary: I really love this game it has a interesting story and there are things you can do to make different video's come up just by saying yes, no or I believe you, your crazy! Plus the music is great!
Summary: This game completely rules for the RPGer in need of a little fun. Past few nights since I have had it. I couldnt help but stay up until 2 a clock in the morning playing, then get up at 6 it is cool like that. Playing the guitar is hard at first but it gets fun as you practice. Music is great, girls are hot (for videogame chicks), game play is exciting, takes about 15 mins before your first battle, but after that you will be having all sorts of fun. Great story and all.
Summary: When I looked at the cover, I was convinced that this is a good game. Indeed, this game delivered a solid RPG gameplay. However, as I compared it to FFX, this game was lacking. It has no characters vocal, no point of destination, and the game repeated for several times. The graphics was not so good, which made me lost my interest in playing this game until the end. The monsters were not as unique as other RPG games.
Summary: ... Ephemeral Fantasia is an interesting and challenging game, with the time-loop concept and some really great characters in a huge setting. The main character is a young musician named Mouse who is summoned to Pandule island to perform at the Princess of Pandule Island's wedding. After he arrives, he discovers things are not as they first seemed...
Summary: Theif or musician? In EF you take the role of Mouse, a theif disguised as a musician. Your partner is a 300 year old talking instrment named Pattimo. [dont worry mouse is REALLY young] Mouse receives an invatation from pandule island to come and pay a visit. he accepts thinking hes gonna make lots of money which he does. But anyway the graphics are AWESOME if you like anime. the battle systems great and you get more allies than you know what to do with. one thing.
