Just another movie tie-in

Matthew T. Shelley "sanctuary_thirteen", Amazon

  • Summary: I am honestly a Matrix fan. specifically the first film, but the other two are a lot of fun nonetheless. This game was brilliant in its position as part of the storyline, showing events taking place aside from the the film. Even getting actual actors to reprise their roles was a stroke of genius. however that trait alone gave this game the two stars i have awarded it. First of all, its a third person action game, similar to tomb raider/max payne/etc.

Take the blue pill

Gordan Freeman "The Cynical Game Reviewer", Amazon

  • Summary: At first, I found myself throughly enjoying enter the matrix, but after just 3 or 4 missions, I realized that gameplay consists of a simple pattern: walk into a room, kill everyone there, next room, same thing, end level. Sounds like alot of games, but enter the matrix really just doesn't have enough to it.

Don't waste your money like so many I know

Brian "pumpkinfreak", Amazon

  • Summary: This is, in my absolute unbiased opinion, an embarrassment to video gaming. Although I suppose if I was more into action games, rather than a hard-core RPGer, I might like it more. Many of my friends and relatives have purchased this game on various systems, including PC, and out of all of them, only one was actually satisfied with the purchase. As for me, I played it for about fifteen minutes and turned it off.

A glimpseand not much moreinto the Matrix

Ian Vance, Amazon
1 July 2003
  • Summary: It has always seemed strange to me that Japan dominates the video game market, both commercially and creatively. All of the major companies originate in the Land of the Rising Sun. Completing a game rewards the player with (usually) a visual feast and (without exception) a credits roster filled with Japanese names.

  • Summary: I don't usually write reviews, but I was so shocked by the number of people who wrote this game was and I quote, "THE BEST GAME EVER!", I just couldn't resist my urge to write. Hey, guys, don't waste your precious time to trick people to buy this game please. Yea, maybe if you are so in love with the movie that you memorize every single line(Hey, I love the movie too), or if you like to be entertained by a few oohs and ahhs flash moves, I wouldn't stop you from getting...

Disappointing

Amazon
8 June 2003
  • Summary: Thankfully I rented the game rather than paying out the full price and having played it for several hours I can certainly say I am glad I did not waste my money. I'd have to say there is some fun to be had with the game, the focus time, the realistic Matrix style moves are all great and the cut scenes and sound effects are wonderful and will be enjoyed by any fan of the movies. However the game falls very short in terms of long term play-ability.

Exit the Matrix

Halo92, Ciao

  • Excerpt: "Ok, now, how many of you readers are fans of the Matrix, just down to the fight scenes? Cos if that's the case, and you don't really care about graphics etc, then this is the sort of game you would really like. Not wanting to start this review negetively, I'll concentrate on the fighting bits first. The bits that everyone love. The great thing is the fact there are so many moves and combinations of moves available. You can interact with character/enemys ...
  • Pros: Good fisticuff bits .  Not a bad storyline .
  • Cons: Bad graphics, boring amd repetative missions, terrible gunfights .  .  .  .  .  Not the best game in the world .

S. Pritchard, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Oh i was excited about this game, damm i was excited when i played it. Now i've seen the story of the game its safe to say the gameplays buggy and i shall never play it again. But it was fun while it lasted. Not a terrible game, but a game which was rushed in ganeplay production and it feels it.

matrix video game

Mrs. A. Sukhadia "ultimatumissuer", amazon.co.uk
3 July 2004
  • Summary: A very poor game, mostly because of rubbish controls, and dodgy camera angles. Also there is little skill in invloved, (run and shoot with press of a button) I Completed this game in 6 hours and found it very frustrating. The only reason gamers think its good, is beacuse of the popularity of the martix trilogy and good non playable cut scences. Sorry guys this game is really naff!!!!
