Not Very Good

Beatlesfan32 , GameStop

  • Summary: I bought this game about a week ago, and i have beaten it. The storyline is terrible, the driving is unrealistic, the on-foot action, is mediocre at best. This can't possibly compete with Grand Theft Auto. The Only GTA game i played was San Andreas and it owns this game. The controls in driv3r are confusing, the graphics are actually pretty good though. Things like roads and cars look great, but the character is very poorly designed.

  • Conclusion: Oh dear, this is woeful :/ Plagued with bugs and too many annoyances that make the game unplayable. Shame though as the previous games were actually really good, but they've taken this in totally the wrong direction.

Not Worth The Money

  • Summary: When I first tried this game, I really liked it. I bought it, and for about a week, i still liked it. But then, as the missions got more pointless and boring, I lost some interest. So, for a week or so, I jsut drove around and this got extremely boring, seeing as there is nothing exciting to do. Now, DRIV3R is at the bottom of my pile of games and I haven;t playied it in a month or so. This game has many things wrong with it, that maybe they will fix in a DRIV4R.

Mindblowingly Bad

Laine Brooks, Amazon

  • Summary: Driv3r gets 2 stars, simply because it's beautiful to look at, the cops will chase you for breaking the law and the cars sound so sweeeeeet! Unfortunately, that's about all that is good. The driving aspect isn't so bad either, but it's not as great as it looks on the comercials. The cars handle well, and take more realistic damage, but that can't make up for atrocious game-play with a captial ATROCIOUS!!

Where's My Driver?

Jim, Amazon

  • Summary: What the hell happend to this game? I have been looking forward to this game for quite some time now, and I'm highly disappointed in it, now that I have it. I thought this would be good to tid me over till GTA: San Andreas, but OH NO, this game has to SUCK! First off, the graphics. How can developers keep making games that are blocky, lacking any color, and just plain look like crap?

They need to go back to the drawing board

TwistaG "Quoth the Raven 'Nevermore", Amazon
28 June 2004
  • Summary: Like Enter the Matrix last year, Driv3r is buggy and clearly unfinished. The mess isn't as extensive as it was with Neo's nightmare -- Tanner's latest adventures as an undercover cop aren't quite that treacherously crash-prone -- but poorly tuned gameplay and controls sink what should have been a rousing ride from one of Grand Theft Auto's primary forefathers. Bugs and technical issues first.

Next time you make a sequel don't make it suck.

StarSoldier1, Dooyoo

  • Excerpt: Any gamer would tell that some of the best selling and best playing driving games on the original Sony Playstation were the famous Driver 1 & 2. Both games not only sported stylist 3D visuals with sexy cars in cool urban settings but the edgy crime based game play was very intense and even fun to play.
