addictive

  • Summary: I found this game really addictive I only completed it recently and I got it like 6 years ago! I got to the point where I really wanted to complete the whole game and I wouldn't turn my ps2 off till I completed it. This is a good game if you like games where you have to complete tasks and collect things to progress.

Great fun and good for a laugh, but lacking in variety

Ms. J. A. Jacobs, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: I ignored this game for ages because it looked like one of those ones where you pet the dog, feed it and teach it tricks while it whimpers and yips at you in an irritatingly cute way. What a mistake to make! This game is the complete opposite, and oodles more fun. You take control of Jake the dog, who is rushing to rescue his next-door crush after she is kidnapped by dognappers.

  • Summary: I received this game today and I am already addicted to it! I just want to keep playing it! No school, no chores, no clothes! It's great being a dog! It's true! You can bacially do anything a dog can do. Dig, fetch, swim, beg, hunt, mark territory, even foul the streets! (you can pooh or wee!!) You even have a smellovision mode which allows you to see the world though Jake's eyes. You can also control other dogs. This may actually come in handy when doing a hard mission!

  • Summary: I let go of this game last year, not because i got bored of it, but because i don't really bother with my playstation anymore. When i first bought this i got so addicted to it! Its a wonderful adventure with superb graphics and characters. The main aim is to control Jake the dog, does everything a real dog would do and your in control! It's not babish at all like some would imagine.

  • Excerpt: "Jake and Daisy are farm dogs in . When Daisy is kidnapped by a pair of evil dognappers Jake sets off to find her, venturing out from the farm through a resort, a small town and finally the big city. On the way of course, he can always indulge his love of bones... Its a fairly thin plot, but the gameplay is innovative, the characters simple but amusing and the puzzles different enough to hold player's interest. Jake is a typical dog - he barks, ...

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DOG

  • Excerpt: "...the title it is just Dog's Life. Dog's Life is obviously a game more targeted for kids, but older gamers may find it entertaining. I am 25 years old and I enjoy it. I find it helps me to relax because it is so simple. BACKGROUND / STORYLINE ======================== The games storyline is straightforward . There is not much to Dog's Life, but what there is I find is entertaining enough. You control a dog called Jake who hangs around in the town ...

PEDIGREE CHUMS

pesky33, Ciao
18 August 2005
  • Excerpt: "...see the world through a dog's eyes, i.e. in smells. This reminded me of the section in 'Discworld Noir' when you become a werewolf and collect scents. Being able to either be a dog in third person, or see through the dog's eyes in first person modes, is a really interesting feature, and marks this game apart from other 'family' oriented games such as the crop of Disney platformers. As an added bonus, you get to play as different sorts of dogs, ...
