Summary: I love the Devil May Cry series but I do not like this version of the game. The graphics are poor and Dante is completely different in this game. His personality is nothing like it was in games 1 and 3. I was too disappointed to continue playing this game.
Summary: I liked the game because it was the 2nd game of the series, and I need it for my collection. That's why I bought it. Plus the seller had it for cheap. Over all on the game itself, it isn't the greatest DMC game out there.
Summary: DMC 2 was not all that great, it was just something for me to do if i was bored and had nothing better to do. There are playable characters. you obviously start out with Dante on disck 1. However, Dante does not do alot of dialouge in this game. All i could ever remember doing was just going from mission to mission, doing all these senseless weird things.
Summary: There's nothing in this game that I love. The only reason I bought it is because I am a fan of the Devil May Cry series. The combat system makes it ridiculously difficult to pull off any good combos. In the first game, by the end of the first play through you could max out all your weapons. It took me three play throughs with Dante and four with Lucia in this game. From one upgrade to the next there seems to be no noticeable change in the strength of the weapons.
Summary: After the great DMC original they come out with a sequal that you can only say "man improvement's on the first one how could they go wrong?" Well they did. They focused way to much on detail and just ruined the already fun and easy to grasp gameplay. The control's are easy to learn but you can almost never completly master. Though the combat controll's are solid and walking on wall's and doing back flips off of wall's ect are welcome move's.
Excerpt: "...pointless. Ah, how I loved playing Devil May Cry 1. Now that's a true Devil May Cry game. Devil May Cry 2 is, well, terrible, to say the least. There is nothing here that made me say "Wow" or "Cool". It's all a big mess. I don't know what Capcom were thinking when they made this abomination known as Devil May Cry 2. Upon playing, I lost a lot of respect for the Devil May Cry series and Capcom altogether. Here's why: Let's start off with the ...
Pros: None .
Cons: Bears no relevancy to the series . Terrilbe visuals . Terrible gameplay . No replay value .
Summary: Anyone who played Devil May Cry 1 would certainly be in the line up for the new release of it's sequel. DMC 2 maintained its solid graphics and Dante looked as good as ever, however, this game fell short of the mark for me and instead of it outpacing DMC 1, I felt it took two steps backwards. DMC 2 continues to be an ambitious game, but as far as tastes go, I was disappointed!
