NOT the same as the PC Version (Despite what you read).

  • Summary: Deux Ex for the PC may have been the Game of the Year -- but this translation to the PS2 format has it's flaws. Chiefly among them is the fact that the levels have been disected into smaller map-chunks (I'm assuming in order to fit into the PS2's memory). So, as you move around, say, the first level (Statue of Liberty), you'll round a corner and the entire game will stop and display a progress bar as the next memory-chunk of the SAME level will begin.

JUST MORE OF THE SAME

  • Summary: As a fan of FPS and FP games and general I was pumped to play this game after reading all the great reviews. However, about 5 hours into it the creeping feeling that I've played this game before began to set over me. Sure the graphics are great & the controls are perfect - but the story is average. Level after level of fighting the same bad guys - clear one, get your briefing, run around and load up, and you're off..over, and over again.
