Summary: Dark Summit, in of itself, has got to be one of the worst games, I have ever had the displeasure of playing. Within, quite literally, the first three minutes of game play I realized how horrible of a mistake I had made in purchasing this product. The story, if you can actually call it that, is well really nonexistent. You are to perform "missions" to gain "lift points" to access the next level, and in doing so you gain new items, with enough points of course.
Summary: What happens when you cross the X-Files with an extreme sport and Gen-X slacker sensibilities? You end up with the video game Dark Summit. The premise of the game is odd, to say the least. You get to play as a snowboarder who has to uncover the dark government coverups and conspiracies, and who has to find out the truth behind all of the recent UFO sightings.
Summary: This is one of the worst games, I have ever played. First, the speed of the snowboarding is too fast, totally unrealistic. Second, the graphics are poor at best and the levels are so repetitive its unreal. Third, the game does not give you any incentive to learn the tricks. Good snowboarding games like the SSX series are much better. Fourth, the music and sound is awful, so annoying I had to turn the volume off just to play it.
Summary: This was a game I bought at the time because it was one of the cheapest PS2 games at the store. I got it home and could not put it down thanks for the memory card i was finally able to. My son is now trying to get passed the 3rd level though we have not played enough to get to the end we still have fun playing it. It is easy to move the snowboarder and make her do tricks I think that if you like to play a snowboarding game and yet do tasks this is a game for you.
Summary: I got this game thinking it was cheesey. Not untill me and my friends started playing because we had nothing to do because we are losers. We shortly found out that it was superb game playing. We played all day, and all day the next day. The next night we beat the game. I did not understand the story line however because one of my friends pressed a button while it was explaining the ending. [...]. Oh well. I think it was a great game and all people should play it.
Summary: ...this game rules! It's my second fav Play Station 2 game! Who cares that there's not much upgrades with clothes? I like the minor changes like head phones, sun glasses, or a vest. I never got sick of the chalenges, they didn't seem repetive to me (ok, maybe I hated doing those stupid 540s). It's fun and I played it over and over. I have yet to win, though. Anyway, it's a great game, unless you could annoyed easily and don't like challenges.
A fun and entertaining game, with too short a shelf life

Summary: I've never been a big fan of the whole skateboarding/snowboarding genre of games, but Dark Summit turned my head. Whereas in most games of this type, the object is simply to do tricks to get the highest point total, Dark Summit has a storyline and a goal. Snowboarders have been banned from a mountain, and your goal is to find out why.
