Summary: So delighted I bought this game. Was in perfect, new condition with the manual. Game is so entertaining, always loved it as a kid but only had the demo version and now I can enjoy the full version!
Excerpt: I grew up with this game ever since I tried it on the PS2 demo disc that came with my machine, then it was the first game I went out and bought myself for the PS2. You play a young boy who is trying to set the world to right after an attack from an evil genie. In basics, it is a dungeon crawler with elements of weapon upgrades, and world building.
Summary: It is quite a great game, I really enjoyed it. I would classify this game as a classic from the ps2 console, one thing I really enjoy is the weapon customization, of course never let the weapon hp reach zero or else all the efforts from the weapon build up will be wasted. I really do recommend this game if you are a game collector from ps2.
Summary: Neither the town building system or the dungeons are all that special but it's the combination of both that makes it great. You'd expect doing dungeon floors and building towns would get old fast but it doesn't because each town and dungeon is pretty unique (can't say more or i'll spoil the surprise) 1 lesser point: managing 6 different characters and constantly switching back and forth between them gets annoying. 2 or 3 would've been better, like they did in the sequel.
Summary: If you like RPGs and have a PS2 laying around or a PS3 that can play PS2 games then buy this! It really is one of the best RPG's ever made! One piece of advice though, looking at all the weapon build-ups online ruins it a bit.
Summary: This was the first game I bought with my PS2 back in 2001 and I loved it then. I have recently bought it again on a nostalgia trip and I am surprised at well it compares to the dozens of PS2 RPG games I have played since then. The gameplay is described in other reviews, but I just wanted to comment about repetitiveness.
