Summary: All in all, I think Dark Cloud
2 is my favorite of the current batch of adventure / rpg games. It's got
all the standards you're looking for plus a ton of subsidiary entertainment
to keep you going. I'd definitely recommend it over all of the competition
Pros: Very pretty, lots of variety, evil clowns.
Cons: Can be inconsistent and feel repetitive at times, no story, nothing truly original.
Summary: This game delivers in almost every
way. There are a few flaws in it as with the instructions, but some of
the drawbacks of the game are necessary to making it as cool as it is.
For example for a game to have a quest as epic as this one repetition
is a must. That will always detract some from the replay value, but when
you do play it you always have fun.
Pros: : Sweet graphics, cool weapons system, six different playable characters each with their own unique abilities, and a chance to rebuild the world and make it better than before.
Cons: Repetitive, oo many dungeon levels, the weapons take too long to upgrade (especially if you go all the way with all six characters), and the instructions give you the wrong instructions for the fishing game.

Excerpt: Reviewing Dark Cloud 2 is a tough call. One the one hand, everything about the sequel - from the graphics to the combat to the enemies to the story to the improved Georama system is an order of magnitude better than the first game. The problem is, as good as the whole system is, there's something to be said about a good solid 40 hours of non-stop fighting and Georama with very, very little real story thrown in.
