Excerpt: Being a long term fan of Dark Cloud, when I heard there was a sequel game I immediately went out and found it. From the cartoony box and cover, and the art style, you may wonder if it is a game that is way too young for you, but dont be put off! It really is a complex game with so many elements.
Widely considered one of the best of the last console generations RPG's. Level 5's masterwork

Excerpt: Professor Layton and Inazuma Eleven have now turned Level 5 in to an emerging games publisher. But not so long ago they were a small development studio in Japan working on Playstation exclusive games. Whilst there have never set the sales charts on fire outside of their native Japan.
A fantastic game with hours and hours of play, and lots to do.

Excerpt: Dark Chronicle is an excellent game, but one that is difficult to define. A fascinating mix of puzzle and action game, combined with worldbuilder and RPG, this one has something for everyone and enough subquests that doing them all could easily get you over fifty hours of play - not counting the...
Excerpt: Dark Chronicle Review --------------------- When i first unwrapped this game, i was slightly dissapointed. From the back of the case i knew i didnt think i'd like it. The graphics were too cartoony and i wasn't familiar with "RPGs".

Summary: Building on the successes of the first game, Dark Cloud, this sequel follows the golden rules of sequel-making to the letter: 1) Build on the best features, and bury the bad ones - this game has taken the Georama elements, the random level generation, the unique weapon-building system and the simple...
Summary: As soon as I out Dark Chronicle into my PS2, I was amazed by it. The looks, the gameplay, the sound, It's all great. Starting out in a small town of Palm Brinks, not knowing what's going on in the out side world to restoring the entire world to how you feel fit!
Summary: I really enjoyed this spiritual successor to Dark Cloud. While it retains many of the game mechanics from the original Dark Cloud game, no previous knowledge of the prequel is necessary and many of the game's functions have been improved.
Summary: Even better than Dark Cloud, if that's possible. HUGE game loads of action, puzzles and villiages to create. Graphics are perfect - there is nothing I can say which is bad about this game it's just such fun and amusement.
(original+improvements)-all that was bad=MASTERPIECE

Summary: This is a visually stunning game, the graphics are charming the game play is great and the building sections offer far more freedom. This game is everything dark cloud should have been. This provided me with long game play, enjoyable storyline, charming graphics and a good selection of minigames.
