Summary: I thought this would be a great game because I am not a fan of DDR's music, and wanted to play my own music while I worked out. Unfortunately the gameplay itself is so bad that it makes it not worth it. The steps are uninspired and extremely simplistic, the step arrows are spread very far apart which makes it look awkward and difficult to tell what to hit. The graphics themselves are eye sores and make the first DDR for PSX look amazing.
Summary: This game is great. It works just fine with the mat I have and with every cd I've put in. The dance steps have went perfectly well with the music I put in. I've used country, rock, and pop. Also, the game does not have to reload the music cd every time you play. You have to use a memory card and choose the save cd option (You still have to put the cd in and the game matches it to the memory card file but it does not have to "reload" it takes 5 seconds), and so far one...
Summary: I won't go into great detail, but I will say that this game is great!! We can use ANY CD and put whatever song on we want and it makes it so we can dance to it! So far, it's been flawless! And when our 5 year old wants to play it, he can have his type of music on it and makes it fun for him as well...we all enjoy this game and we highly recommend it!
Summary: if you create your own dance steps with the controller, it is just fine. I really like dancing to my own music. I made 2 mix CDs full of music. Just don't let it create the steps for you, because it doesn't follow the beat of the music.
Summary: I am really pleased for this game, DDR editions are fun to have and fun to play also, the enormous thing about this video game its that you can actually dance to any song, rithym, ... actually any song you have in a cd.... Just for fun, we have danced to electronic music, our own mixes we have made, ha ha!!! even some cumbias :) its a great thing to have at home!!!
Summary: I am a big fan of DDR even though I am not very good. I do it for cardio exercise mainly. The problem I always have had is that I am a huge country music fan and hated the DDR songs. So when I saw this today I had to get it. If you load one song at a time it is pretty quick. The problem I find is that the dance pattern doesn't follow the rhythm of the song. It is defiantly worth getting so that you can listen to the kind of music you enjoy rather than the dance songs.
Summary: It's a nice game like the original DDRs, but the ability to dance to my own music makes it a little sweeter. Sometimes the computer gets a little off the beat - I might be able to work out a more effective algorithm if I had tons of time, but I don't, so I like this one pretty well. Also, navigation is a little awkward at times. Overall, three stars for originality - and leave two open for when they work the bugs out.
