Excerpt: When playing Cy Girls we were left wondering if the game really did come from Konami or from somewhere much more sinister, like the burning bowels of hell. Obviously it didn’t come from the latter, although with a title that induces such misery and frustration it certainly belongs there after its probable short shelf life.
Conclusion: This is for gamers who want an easy experience, and don't want to learn long strings of move lists in order to pull off some cool stunts, or maybe just the lady fans of PS2 (all 3 of them) could enjoy this, as it has some ass-kicking heroine leading ladies, but the game lacks sufficient depth, challenge or variation to hold the interest of the more seasoned gamer.
Pros: 2 cool characters, 2 different stories on 2 discs., Impressive moves that are easy to pull off.
Cons: Repetitive as heck., Puzzles are simplistic but frustrating., There's not much we haven't seen before, and executed better.
Excerpt: Based on a line of Japanese dolls and an accompanying cartoon series, Cy-Girls is a few nifty little ideas thrown together in a package that, overall, seems to lack effort. You play two super hacker girls as they journey through their separate but parallel running stories. Each character has essentially their own game on two separate disks; considering Ice is armed with guns and Aska is armed with a sword they both play surprisingly similarly.
