Its better than people seem to give credit for

J. Drawmer, Amazon
14 August 2006
  • Summary: Cricket is a sport that over the last 4 or 5 years or so i've taken a massive interest in, as i love the tactical side of the game, the building of an innings, the sparing of bowlers against batsmen, mind games...

???

David, Amazon
13 February 2006
  • Summary: Batting is more realistic and harder than previous ea games. Playing shots early on will cause alot of edges but playing the old ball is much easier and gives you the chance to enjoy the game.

A addictive challenge

S. R. Westmoreland "westy147", Amazon
22 January 2006
  • Summary: Well I tried Brian Lara first. Enjoyed the game and the arcade style but after a bit there was no challenge there. So decided to try out EA Criket 2005. On face value the graphics are better. So is the shot selection and bowling. The runs are harder to get and so are the wickets.

  • Summary: You have a choice between 2 Cricket Games at the moment. EA 2005 Cricket (Freddy on the cover)or Brian Lara Cricket (You won't be suprised with who is on the cover) Depending on why you want the game depends on which one you should buy.

The New Pro Evo vs Fifa?

Josh, Amazon
27 October 2005
  • Summary: As EA want to expand their dominance of sports games, a cricket series was enevitable. Their are some real pluses about this game, and with some competion from Brian Lara Cricket there needs to be. This is basically the same argument as sports fans have as 2 which football game the think is better.

  • Summary: I bought this game about 3 months ago. At first it was incredibly annoying and hard to play. But as i played it more it was getting easier. The graphics are good, gameplay is great and the rosters are superb.

Realistic... But Rock Hard

mecalleddan "mecalleddan", Amazon
23 September 2005
  • Summary: Like the rest of the country, i too have been caught up in ashes fever, and purchased this game as a result having never played cricket on a console before. People complain about how difficult it is, and that true, the game is very difficult to master, but then again so is REAL cricket.

Good Game, Minor Problems

David, Amazon
1 September 2005
  • Summary: This game is the one for you if you are looking for an official game with official licensing. However, the game features a batsman confidence bar, and as this goes up, the less accurate your timing needs to be. But this bar takes a long time to go up when batting conservatively in a test match.

Playing 2004 will help

J. Rogers, Amazon
31 August 2005
  • Summary: Cricket 2005 is hard, yes we all know that, especially the batting, but it's not so hard that it's impossible. I do agree with a lot of other people saying that the front foot drive trickles to the bowler, and the only way that i've found to hit it past the bowler is to use the advance down wicket...

A game of the love/hate type!

Iceni Peasant, Amazon
28 August 2005
  • Summary: After about an hour of playing this game you'll be frustrated, annoyed and wondering what on earth you're supposed to do to actually score any runs when batting. Especially if you try a quick game of Limited Overs, you'll be struggling to get past 35, and still have all your wickets!!
