Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation

Game Vortex
19 September 2004
  • Excerpt: Call of Duty map packs are starting to resemble Madden releases - a new one is always on the horizon and even though the upgrades aren't usually worth the price, players feel compelled to buy them anyway. Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation , the second map pack released for Call of Duty: Black Ops , may not break that trend - at 1200 MSP, it is still a little too much - though it definitely gives players more than past map packs.

Crazy Taxi

Playstation Illustrated
4 September 2004
  • Excerpt: Crazi Taxi has got unbelievable graphics!!! This is a straight port from the arcade, and nothing is lacking. It's games like this that are putting arcades outta business. Trust me. Crazy Taxi has all of the eye candy you can ever handle. The only problem is that there is an awful lot of clipping, where your fares run through anything just to get into your taxi (including the taxi itself). The sound fx of the game are equally outstanding.

  • Excerpt: It's still a little odd to see a Sega game on a Sony machine (through Acclaim), but opting out of the hardware business in favour of multi-platform software development has been a boon to all involved - especially gamers. Easily one of the coolest titles for Dreamcast, Crazy Taxi on PS2 offers exactly the same scallywagging excitement and remorseless exhilaration.
