Summary: If you like playin withyour buddies on one console, this is an excellent game, multiplayer is amazing, tons of guns, tons of equipment, and bots...ah bots...remember bots? lol anyway, there are a bunch of memorable multiplayer maps to play on you, a bunch of your buddies, and then the horde of bots! hours and hours of fun to be had here, and for 4 bucks? whats to lose?
Summary: Pros: 1) FPS gameplay is similar to BLACK. 2) Carnage, you can reduce enemies to mere stumps. 3) Good selection of arsenal weapons. 4) Bad guys get more clever/sneaky as the game progresses. 5) Tons of tasks, environments and bad guys. Cons: 1) Cannot turn down ambient music, really annoying. Overall, awesome FPS... and I really wish they would make a sequel to Cold Winter, BLACK and another HITMAN.
Summary: I have played the first few levels of Cold Winter. It has good graphics, good gameplay and controls, and the level design is fairly creative. I like the action in this game, you really feel like you have to get something done -- complete your mission! And don't get killed! This is not the best shoot-em-up I've ever played but it certainly is entertaining.
Summary: This is the best PS2 shooter I've come across. Storyline is awesome, enemies are agressive, controls and aiming are as good as anything I've played. I prefer thrid person, but this FPS kicks some serious arse. If you're looking for a shooter, you can't go wrong here.
Summary: This game is absolutely deserving of an 8.5 out of 10 and the only reason I can't give it a 10 is because it is not quite as technical as a lot of other games. The closest thing I have played to this game is golden eye except this game is better visually especially considering the fact that cold winter is brutal. I don't know if I have ever played a game where you can shoot a persons head off and then watch it roll. It is truly an amazing experience.
Summary: I don't see why PS2 gets such a bad rap when it comes to its small library of FPS titles. Even though it's a small collection there are still quite a few games that can be just as good as any FPS on Xbox or Xbox 360. Cold Winter is one of these games. Unfortunately, Cold Winter didn't get the attention it deserved and didn't sell that well. This is a shame because Cold Winter is actually a damn good game, despite the fact it requires an entire memory card to save data.
Summary: I'd hadnt ever heard of this game till i saw it on amazon. I loved the graphics the weapons, the aiming. and especially kim (big boobed side kick.) the game was a ton of fun and very few complaints. but like all good there is almost alwasy bad. The bad, game had a ton of bugs. Like Chairs floating and dead bodies stuck in mid air. At one point you can see straight threw the walls. but the story line and the graphics were way above average.

Summary: Cold Winter is indeed a sleeper, as other reviewers have stated here. It will remind players of both GoldenEye (N64) and Half Life. It deserves to be kept in a first-person-shooter collection. I'm glad I found it! Like a lot of casual console gamers, I am sticking to my PS2 until there is a must-own game for the PS3 (which will probably be GTA4). So I searched the back catalog for quality shooters to add to my game collection.
