Excerpt: Codename: Kids Next Door Operation V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. is based upon a Cartoon Network cartoon of the same name (sans the Operation V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. portion). As such, the developers did a wonderful job in translating the look and feel of the cartoon itself into a playable videogame medium. The graphics are bright and crisp, and the characters are animated to perfection.

Excerpt: I think we can all agree that this is the worst name for a videogame (sorry, v.i.d.e.o.g.a.m.e) ever, but then it is apparently only following in the tradition of the cartoon on which it’s based, which splits up the names of its episodes with dots into ridiculous acronyms. Yes, all of the letters in ‘videogame’ stand for something here, but I can’t actually remember what.

Conclusion: Maybe some fans of the show would like this, but I sure as hell did not. When playing through the game, none of the moments really stood out as being memorable. Nothing really compelled me to want to finish the game other than for the simple reason I had to write this review. Maybe I’m 15 years too old to enjoy this game or maybe it’s just a bad game overall, I just don’t know! Buy it at your own risk! You have been forewarned!
