Medal of Honour: Rising Sun was largely a disappointment. It just didn’t feel like a MOH game, the new jungle environment was way too plastic looking; the music was shockingly bad and a distant away from the rousing score of other MOH games, it was without doubt one of the most disappointing games of 2003 and this coming from huge MOH fans too. Call of Duty: Finest Hour on the other hand is everything the underwhelming Rising Sun should have been. Read more

There's plenty of action in this game to keep you interested. I liked how everything was happening around you during your missions and that it didn't seem like it was all about you. Call of Duty: Finest Hour is an above average WWII shooter that delivers on experience, but falters on graphics. There's a lot of competition in the Historic Shooter genre and Finest Hour sits near the middle of the pack. Read more

?Duty is calling, will you answer?? That was probably the first of many lame jokes that ran through my head when I first heard about Call of Duty: Finest Hour . But probably the one that rings most true is that this game should have been called Call of Duty: A Few Hours of Not Being That Great. Read more

Online CoD plays well enough but doesn't do anything to set itself apart from the other PS2 FPS titles, and everyone I played with seemed to want to get back to Killzone. The game supports up to 16 players but games can suffer from lag and even be hard to find. You get the typical choice of modes, but whilst the maps look okay they lack size, imagination and any lasting appeal. Read more

    • Fun FPS gameplay with lots of attempts at variation., Tidy graphics look just like the Xbox version., Great sound., Network play.
    • Too short., AI is shaky at times., You move, slowly., The storyline feels too disjointed.

Call of Duty has finally come to home consoles in the form of Finest Hour, a totally new experience in the Call of Duty series. Unfortunately, since the original Call of Duty was so widely successful, it makes Finest Hours shortcomings all the more prominent and difficult to forgive. That’s not to say that Finest Hour is a bad game, but it just doesn’t add up as well as its PC father. Read more

    • Usually competant AI, A few interesting missions not always seen in WWII shooters
    • Graphics offer up no 'wow', Sound is standard fare, Not as good as Call of Duty PC

With the success of Call of Duty on PCs it was only a matter of time before the World War II shooter made the jump to consoles. Rather than a straight port of the excellent PC version of the game console gamers are being treated to their own version of the game, although some of the memorable battles made the transition. The graphics in Call of Duty: Finest Hour are well-done, however they are very dark. While I understand that war can be a very dim and dismal place, it seemed that everything was dark and hard to see in Finest Hour , moreso than it needed to be. Consequently, I found myself struggling to see things that I knew I needed to not miss and this detracted from the enjoyment. Read more

    • Rich in historical details; smooth animation and realistic audio; addition of North African campaign is nice; tank missions add some welcome variation.
    • Frequent character changes takes you out of the story; North African segment is far too short; enemy AI is pretty weak.

Even though there's an abundance of World War II shooters already available, the demand for such games is bigger than ever, as proved by Call of Duty amongst others. And continuing this FPS trend is Finest Hour, the first console version in Activision's epic and formerly PC-exclusive series. A brand new game in its own right, Finest Hour pits players in a wealth of World War II scenarios played from several unique perspectives. Read more

This is based on the Second World War settings. Well you should know from the game settings and environments. You take the characters of soldiers from Russia, Britain and American at each game level. Well the game does have the same similarities with medal of honour. I have been playing the game precisely for months now hoping to get the game concluded not that I am having problems in playing the game but devote time in other games. Read more
