Summary: As you can probably tell from the title of my review, this game fails to stand out at all in the category of World War II first person shooters. Not that it's bad, but there's also nothing good. Pretty much everything is just average, sometimes even to the point of generic. The music is forgettable, yet the sound effects are pretty stellar. While the graphics don't impress, they certainly aren't bad. The A.I.
Summary: For me this game was a huge let down. For example the graphics wher not very good and that brings gameplay down on a large scale. The controls wher a little better but still can be difficult to manage. The only thing about this title I liked was the reloading effects. If you are stuck on original Xbox then I would say skip it entirely.
Summary: Having played and loved Call of Duty: Finest Hour, I was really excited about Big Red One. I don't purchase many games anymore, so I usually spend some time researching games before I buy them. I thought I had done my homework, but I was completely surprised. What was I so surprised about? When the game abruptly ended after only a few short hours of playing. I was dumbfounded when the credits began rolling. "That's it!" I said in disbelief.
Summary: The title of the game is certainly apt as anyone playing the game will certainly be red in the face with anger and frustration. The game operates on the check point system, which are in effect your progress points. However there are a number of glitches in this game which freeze you at a given point resulting in you having to turn off the console.
Summary: I dont rate this as highly as most others here. Having a avid player of medal of honor series on the PC i thought i would try a war game on my playstation so i chose Big Red One to see if it was any good. It lacked way behind in my oppinion. The usuall sort of mission from a war game but mostly it just seamed the computer did most of the mission and it was the players job just to get to a certain point in the map.
Summary: Ive never even dreamed of writing a review before but i`m so cheesed off i must say something. why do we all buy these games ...... For the gameplay of course,....... great graphics and little movies about the story are a bonus. If your expecting longevity in this game ...forget it. if you want good graphics, well `THE BIG RED ONE` takes some beating they realy are very very good.. but thats not the point! We want games that last longer than the `TWO`!!!
