Smart and sassy quiz show ideal for older kids.

Common Sense Media
3 December 2007
  • Summary: Parents need to know that this game draws inspiration from television quiz shows and that, much like watching an episode of Jeopardy , you may learn a thing or two while playing. However, unlike Jeopardy 's charming Alex Trebek, this host issues playful verbal assaults at trailing contestants. However, so long as players have a thick skin for insults hurled by a cheesy video game character, there is little here to offend.

Buzz! The Mega Quiz

Project COE
30 October 2007
  • Conclusion: Perhaps the only complaint to be made about Buzz! is the way the game presents itself. It has a very childish look to it even though all the questions are geared towards people in their mid-twenties and up. The game’s not ugly, but can sometimes be too plain for its own good. The visual style feels like it was ripped off of a Mario game with characters being very bright and goofy looking.

  • Excerpt: The PS2 just keeps on going, despite the fact that its replacement has been out for a year now. How many other consoles in the past in a similar position were the beneficiaries of a new first-party controller? The controller in this case is a game show buzzer that comes with the wacky trivia game Buzz! The Mega Quiz.

Buzz – The Mega Quiz

Strategy Informer

  • Conclusion: Outside of that, the game generally remains the same, and with good cause. The controller design is flawless, and leaves no excuse for poor performance, with absolutely no barrier to entry. As a family game and for anyone bored of playing faceless online opponents, I'd encourage you to get back to the basics with Buzz! and re-learn some of the magic of gaming with friends.
