Fun game

23 February 2013
  • Summary: I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother. We used to play it all the time as kids but he got rid of it for some reason and then wished he hadn't. It works great and he was happy to have it again.

Great game series

Eric, Amazon
22 January 2013
  • Summary: I'm glad I bought this and for real cheap too. I bought this because I needed a better more complete copy of the game, because my original copy had a generic GameStop cover on it. I am immensely satsified with my purchase and would definitely buy from them again in the future.

Adrenaline Rush!

"tequilaslushy_4u", Amazon
8 October 2003
  • Summary: I played this game on my sister's Gamecube and loved it so much that I bought it for my PS2. The graphics were awesome and the realism of the crashes were better than any of the Need For Speed games. I can't wait to try Burnout 2: Point of Impact...I am sure it will be even better than this one! For the price, this is definately worth buying, just for the open ended playing.

One of the best games on the PS2

Ben "W.", Amazon
30 May 2002
  • Summary: This is absolutly the BEST racing game on the PS2. I love its exilerating speed, unpredicatable traffic, and I love running into the traffic at 135 MPH with a tow truck. It has a very high risk level, but once you get used to how all the cars feel (which only takes one or two races), you don't care.

just like Fast and the Furious

kien, Amazon

  • Summary: I just got the game BURNOUT by AKLM, it is by far one of the best controling game out on the PS2. The handling is very smooth, the car don't slide all over the place when doing a quick turn. The turn signal signs (marks) on the road is well placed. It gives you enough time to let you turn and when to turn. (Those that played NFS on the PS1 knows what I mean). And this game, you race down a freeway and city with 100 of cars driving on the road.

Burnout Burns Major Time

Tim Kauger, Amazon
26 December 2001
  • Summary: Some say Burnout is incredibly unrealistic and shouldn't be on the shelves. Well, screw them. Burnout is truly and simply an action-packed, blood-heating, tense chase game that truly ignites your adrenaline. The main point of the game is, of course, to make it across the finish line in the alotted time before your opponents do.

Faint of Heart Need Not Apply

flaviolius, Amazon
23 November 2001
  • Summary: Don't let those low-ranking reviews fool you. Burnout is a white-knuckle blast of adrenaline from start to finish, a racing, no, a CHASING game that grabs you by the throat from the start line and doesn't loosen its grip until you pass the finish line....if you can! As is usual with racing games, the objective is simple: cross the finish line before time runs out, and ahead of your opponents. However, the setup with Burnout is anything but simple.

Is that light red?

William Robert, Amazon
11 November 2001
  • Summary: Burnout rules. This was a nice surprise. I hadn't heard anything about this game until a friend showed it to me. He said it was the best racing game out there, so I had to ask the question. What about Gran Turismo? He said forget the graphics, just try it. Well I did and I have been playing it every day since. He was right, just turn down the music and turn up all of the other sounds.
