Summary: This game was a little disappointing for my because I played Burnout 3 first and was expecting something like that. There's nothing like it but it is still a good first game to play in the series.
Summary: Burnout is a great game but you're not actually destroying cars like if you crash into the car, the money is for dameage unlike the points you get. If you want a really exciting and crushing cars game, you should either get Burnout 3 or Burnout Revenge.
Summary: So you see burnout's adds and you think 'Wow' and you rush out and rent it and sit down to play. You start it up and play for about 45 minutes with a slack-jawed, awe struck look on your face, but then it stops. You suddenly realise that you can have fun racing and crashing but only for so long, it lacks corperate sponsership, thus generic car models and it's rather redundent, after you race a few times, the rest of the maps are pretty much the same map backwards and at...
Summary: Looks like this game is taking a lot of flak from gamers, and I can understand why. What with the power of the PS2 it's certainly disappointing that games like this are being banged out. They sound great when you hear about them, but they're lackluster when you finally get it home. I saw the TV commercial for this one with all of the crashes and I was hooked. It's simple, really. Not many options, not much to do. You drive fast, you drive like a lunatic.
Summary: This is a cool game. All racing fans out there, you gotta buy this game. This is fast and fun and the crashes are cool. Real car damage and the graphics are cool. This game...ROCKS!!! BUT, it's not as cool as other racing games, can't control the first replay, no camera views and no slow-motion, saving the replay, just only the crash and no replay in 2-player mode.
Excerpt: BURNOUT' 'BURNOUT' has been around for a very long time now. There are more 'Burnout' games and I know one off them are called 'Burnout revenge'. And I have played on that game once as 'Burnout' I can play on all the time…. --------------------------- PLOT OUTLINE !!! --------------------------- Burnout is an amazing racing game as u can go at top speed's though every day traffic.
Excerpt: Burnout is getting on a bit now that Burnout 2 is released and Burnout 3 making its way soon in September. But it's growing old gracefully. It's still got playability for crashes, racing and earning points. It has less modes than Burnout 2. The graphics are great with attention to detail. The vehicles are well detailed too. In terms of gameplay, you are able to race a number of tracks, normal and in reverse. You also get a reasonable amount of vehicles to choose from.
Pros: Excellent playability
Cons: Getting old now with the likes of Burnout 2 and Burnout 3 (releasing later this year)
Excerpt: The game that leaves GT3 standing. My arse. The more you think about that line while playing this awful game the more you realize, no, no this is a where near the heady heights of any Gran Turismo. There are multiple things wrong with this racer, which I will point out later on. Gameplay: 5/10 A good idea put together badly The first time you slip this disk into your drive you are asked what Hz you want to play the game on.
Pros: Original idea, fun for a while
Cons: The graphics, and repetitiveness ruin this original idea
Excerpt: This is a great game for those of us who are absolutely rubbish at computer games. The extras where you try to do as much damage as possible is great fun, and the game is fairly easy to control in the races. But why, with some of the cars, is it impossible to catch the folks in 1st and second place? Also, why so many scenes in airports and beaches? It gets a bit old.
Excerpt: If you like speeding and racing then I suggest you get burnout. This game makes you jump when you crash. You start of with an easy levels but it gets harder. The game has got an elspa of 12a you have to get the checkpoints to get to the end. The game is 20 pound be because it is on platinum its even cheaper if you get it second-hand. You can save it on a memory card; burnout has over fifteen levels and five special cars.
