Summary: "Burnout" is an okay game. It's fun to go whizzing through rush hour traffic at 130 mph. It's therapeutic in the sense that you can do stuff in this game that you wish you could do in real life. The thing that makes me give this game two stars are the crashes.
Im Tired of Company reps writing their own "reviews"
16 November 2001
Summary: There's no way this game can be considered as good as many of these reviews. Either these positive reviews are made by company reps, or the person just doesnt have any experience with other, more advanced games.
Summary: A race through rush-hour traffic is a great idea... But the graphics lack anti-aliasing, which sometimes makes it difficult to see what you're about to crash into(!); and limted time to get to each checkpoint can mean that even if you are winning the race, you can still fail to finish!
Summary: I was left a little confused by Burnout, as to what exactly it wanted me to do. The big crashes are clearly meant to be the selling point, yet they are exactly what you need to avoid in order to win the race.
Summary: There is really very little to keep your interest in this game. You start the first race with a choice of only three (fantasy) cars, which also represent difficulty levels (I picked the middle one).
Summary: I was really disapointed with this game. The only reason it holds the title 'Burnout' is because after driving for about 5 minutes you get a little boost, that's it! It is too hard to come first or stay within the time. The only good pointer is the graphics, that's why the 2 stars, not 1.
Summary: Now there are a lot of racing games out there, but I was looking forward to perhaps buying this game in the future but rented it first. Now I should say I have been playing the brilliant GTA3 for while and it blows everything else out of the water. All this game has is you darting through traffic to...
Schade!!!
