Summary: this is an awful racing game. it's not even a matter of this game being a relic from 2001, as there are plenty of even older racing games that have stood the test of time. the fundamental gameplay is really frustrating and generally bland, and the jagged graphics make it really difficult to gauge what you're approaching, which is a major issue considering that you are rewarded by driving recklessly against dense traffic.
Summary: I ordered a copy of Burnout which was labeled as being in "new" condition. When I got the game and opened it, the disk was horribly scratched, and when I tried to play it wouldn't even get past the first loading screen.
Summary: RENT THIS GAME BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER BUYING IT!! This game is ridiculously lacking. The graphics leave MUCH to be desired. This looks more like a PSone game than a PS2 game. The crashes aren't as glamorous as people say they are; in a light front collision, all of the windows instantly crack, after a hard collision, all of the windows break and fall out, revealing the cars' incredibly detailed (sarcasm =P) pitch black interior.
every game comes so close but one thing messes it up

Summary: i liked most every thing about this game. cars are cool tracks are rad. but every time you crash you loose controle of the car. the car stops and it shows you the wreck from 3 different camra angles. it is cool the first time but it takes about 10 sec for every crash. in other good games like gta3 half the fun of the wrecks is driving out of them on two wheels or rolling the car and still trying to power out of it.
