Clunky Controls, Poor Graphics

A.J., Amazon
3 January 2013
  • Summary: This game is much better on PC. The PS2 just does not give it justice. The controls are hard to handle, and the game is very, very blurry making it hard to spot enemies. I believe this was ported over to PS2 resulting in the mishaps. Excellent game, just not on PS2. Buy this for PC.

Not what I hoped!

Gamecrazy, Amazon

  • Summary: If wasn't the worst i've played but I expected so much more from Ubisoft after the awesome game Farcry. As far as BOA The graphics were great, AI's are intelligent and the use of squad tactics was cool but playability was lacking. The enemy always know where you are and seem to be able to shoot through things you cant, sorry no hiding in this game. Your troops on the other hand are not the most intelligent.

SEQUEL EARNED IN BLOOD

  • Summary: I own a ps3 and bought Hells Highway. I realised there were 2 other games in the band of brothers series. Personally I think earned in blood has decent graphics and if your a B.O.B fan this game is worth getting. The gameplay is a bit slow but realistic, overall its a 3/5 nothing special but good.

  • Summary: This fantastic first person shooter is extremly heart wrenching. Make desisions so quick you don't know if death is right around the corner! Even though it's very good, it's mostly the same as the first Brothers in arms. {Road to Hill 30} Also, it can get very hard at times. But I would urge you to buy this game.

The next chapter in the brother's series

  • Excerpt: Shooting games for games consoles have become quite popular over the last few years. There's the Call of Duty and Medal of Honour titles to name just a few. With both these games, they tend to release a new game the following year. It's like a new chapter of a book with new missions and new challenges set. One thing that both these games have in common is that they are both set in and around the second world war.
  • Pros: New challenges
  • Cons: Repeated missions

The thinking mans shooter returns - Can it stil satisfy?

Tony Bauer "Allies", amazon.co.uk
15 November 2005
  • Summary: WW2 is a big subject. A complete deathfest. A WW2 shooter should contain brillant set - pieces and bucket-loads of action with the realistic difficulty level of rock hard. This game is different. Brothers in Arms stands out from Medal of Honour and Call of Duty. Not because of a decrease in action, far from it, but because Brothers In Arms is much more of a strategic, tactical shooter. It requires patience and skill, much like Full Spectrum Warrior.
