Not a bad game, you'd be surprised

Summary: Let me just start off with a little story of how I ended up with this game. Back in 2002, I remember seeing this game at Walmart. I was only 16 when the game came out and I was sort of a closet Britney Spears fan. I wanted the game, but I figured how embarrassed I would be if I would have walked around with that game in my hand. However, fast forward to 2007 when I saw this game at Gamestop, in the bargain bin, no less.
Summary: This was the first game my daughter played on her new PSII. When we first opened the game I thought "how boring". My husband was sure it had to be played with a dance mat since we just didn't undertand the point to hitting the button to dance. My daughter played it for about 1/2 hour until she also became bored. BUT, when a friend came over and she found out she could compete - we couldn't get her to stop playing. Fantastic game for a first time user under 7 years old.
Summary: Let me put it this way Britneys Dance Beat has nothing to dance about...it has great beats..but only 5 songs. It's not very thrilling..so i wouldnt recommend this game..Want a game you can really have fun with get Dance Dance Revolution. Now thats a Excellent game!
Summary: You should probably do yourself and your kids a favor by renting this game. If you have some spare time to play your PS2, it's possible to beat this in the amount of time you can rent it for. This game will seem fairly easy for "gamers" who are used to the buttons. If you can press the correct button, sometimes with a direction on the D-pad at the same time, you will smoke this game. For others, you might have to work for it...
Summary: This will probably get brushed off as another cheap game but it is not hal bad. You play one of six characters in a ontest to be a backup dancer on a Britney SPears COncert. Just follow the directions on the circle and youll be fine. This is on of the better music simulators to come around in a long while. IT's only rival is Dance Dance Revolution. PArappa the rapper is a dull game, same goes for it's lame sequel. HAlf the stuff MTV releases is dull.
Summary: My daughter just bought this game with her own money (she's 9) and the first complaint is I think this game is over priced. However, if you are a Britney fan then you'll probably enjoy this. The next complaint is that there is only 5 songs to choose from. There should've been at least 10 songs and there should be elevating levels with more difficulty.
Summary: I am a 24 year old female, and I thoroughly enjoy this game. I bought it, as well as the dance beat pad, last night. It is very entertaining and good exercise. I just wish it had more of a selection of songs.
Summary: In the video game world, it's not such a great idea to mix celebrities with software...don't ask why. The 80's band, Journey, had their on video game, along with Wu Tang Clan's "Wu Tang: Shaolin Style" fighting game, and then there's Aerosmith's God-awful "Revolution X" shooing gallery game, that was so frustrating and the music was so horrible, that you wanted to stick ball-point pens in your eyes and ears!!!
Excerpt: One of my good mates bought Britney's Dance Beat for his sister about a year ago. I like to consider myself a good gamer enjoy games like: need for speed underground, GTA, SSX tricky. When he brought the game he had a go to see what it was like. He said he really enjoyed it, I said, "No, its obviously rubbish, you just have to press the buttons when you are asked to. He ignored what i said and honestly believed that it is a good game.
Excerpt: "When I played this with a PS2 regular joystick, seems great. I always love Brit's dances and moves and adore it, but not quite long I got bored... maybe because after finishing all the stages eventually there's no more challenging ones. Never mind, and so for not getting myself bored, I played the display one, and watched Brit's dance. At that time I was going to make Brit's dance to run on a competition. Well lucky I have this game since I learnt ...
Pros: good for learning the moves
Cons: not challenging any more after finishing all stages
