Summary: I remember playing this game when I was younger so it was great to get my hands on a copy and for a great price as well. In this game you don't play as Kain but as his brother, it's easy to follow and really fun once you get into it, I have lost many hours playing this game. Would recommend to all my friends and family if they like RPG/Action games.
Summary: I really enjoyed Soul Reaver 1&2, but compared to them this game is pants. Controlling Kain is not very smooth, e.g you have to face exactly a ladder to climb up it - if you are at a little angle it won't let you climb. Facing muliple enemies can seem to confuse Kain. You lose your weapon when you die. Also there is not much exploring to do in it, as it is designed Kain is always losing his blood, and you need to keep finding new victims.
Summary: Blood Omen 2 has to be one of the finest action/adventure games on the PS2; from it's absolutely gorgeous gothic environments, eerie soundtrack, in-depth and compelling storyline and the best voice acting ever in a video game. Arguably, the advantage that BO2 has over the Soul Reaver games is its linear layout; i.e; starting at the beginning of a level and moving forward to the end; anywhere you're not supposed to go it won't let you, so you never get lost.
Excerpt: "...the other games in the Legacy of Kain series (Blood Omen, Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2), you have to play this. Gameplay: Without a doubt, the worst element of the game, some people may disagree, but after playing Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2, you really would expect this to be much better, especially as it was made after both of these games. I can honestly say, at no time did I actually have fun playing this game. The gameplay really ...
Pros: Good story and voice acting
Cons: very glitchy, poor by Legacy of Kain standards, poor gameplay and music
Summary: This is another game in the series of The Legacy of Kain. This was released after Blood Omen 1 and Soul Reaver 1(both on the psone) and then Soul Reaver 2.After this game, Blood Omen 2, comes the final installment of Defiance. So how does this fare? Well the graphics are nowhere near as good as the other ps2 offerings in this series - Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance both put this game to shame. The graphics can best be described as functional. When i originally bought this i was...
Summary: i'm a huge fan of the lagacy of kain series, especially the original Sould Reaver and although i enjoyed Soul Reaver 2 i was dissapointed by its short length (i completed first time in 2 days). so i wasn't really expecting too much from Blood Omen 2 when i first got it, but i was presently surpirsed. The gameplay is quite different from the Soul Reaver series and harkens back much to the original Blood Omen for the ps.
Summary: Blood Omen 2 is very different from its Soul Reaver cousins in many respects. This is a combat/story game. There may be a few basic puzzles, but nothing like the time-consuming running around pushing blocks and lighting torches found in Soul Reaver. And yes, you do play as a vampire, and a fairly cool one at that.
