Excerpt: For whatever reason, The Dark Knight's videogame exploits in the videogame world have never been all that stellar. As far as I can remember, the only Batman game I really enjoyed was the SNES version of Adventures of Batman and Robin . Once again, the Bat Signal appears in the skies over a new system - but can Batman and the power of the PS2 save the franchise from the clutches of the evil Mediocrity? Presentation, Presentation, Presentation.
Excerpt: Batman: Vengeance is one of the few games based on cartoon/comics that have successfully pulled off the ambiance and style of the original ( Spiderman in 1999 being the other). For the most part, these games have missed the mark, in both style and quality of gameplay.
Pros: Really nails the Batman cartoon feel, Good story and voice acting, Variety of gameplay
Cons: Gadgets are useless outside of required scenes, Too many different styles of gameplay to be good an any of them, Some areas lack any detail or are just too dark
Excerpt: After giving Batman Vengeance a fair chance, I have come up with the conclusion that this game just flat out sucks. Over the past many years, the Caped Crusader has starred in many terrible games. The only decent Batman game that I can think of is actually on the NES and was called Batman: The Video Game made by Sun Soft. Even though I am not saying that Vengeance is a keeper, it sure isn’t a winner either.
Excerpt: When it comes to comic book characters and super heroes few are bigger then DC Comics' Batman. These comic books have since been turned into four movies (Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin) which despite the poor script, acting and quality of the last movie still made an absolute fortune.
