Summary: I really like this game except for the fact that you can't drive the boat. All you can do is troll around. I also would have prefered the graphics to be more realistic instead of cartoony. But still, those things aside, it's pretty fun and catching lunkers is a blast. It's also a big hit with my nephew as well b/c he loves to duel me to see who can catch the most and biggest bass.
Summary: This is by far the best fishing game yet for the PS2. I bought thi sgame, and played it, then bought several fishing games after this one, and this is still the only one I play. Sega has outdone theirselves on this one. The controls are the easiest to use. The graphics are incredible. The realism is very close. You have numerous lures to choose from, and you earn more by winning tournements. The fighting factor is very real as well.
Summary: It is a game for all ages. Fun and not to easy. You will fall in love with this game. Sevarul lures to choose from. The more commpetitions you win the more new lures you get. THis is all I have to say about this game. Have fun and good fishin.
Summary: This is the first fishng game for the ps2 that hasn't been frustrating. The controls are easy and the gameplay is quick and entertaining. The two player mode is where it really shines. Split screensorks well and adds a lot to the replay value.
Excerpt: "My cousin's eldest brat roped me into playing this game with him on Christmas day 2004, after I'd already got him totally addicted to the real thing. From what I managed to make of the game, you have to load up each time you want to fish a section of lake..... and the game is virtually impossible to play if the left thumb-pad is on it's last legs, as you need it to steer. When you've got a controller that's fully functional, the controls are ok ...
Pros: Graphics are reasonable
Cons: Difficult to pull of a strike when you hook into a fish
Excerpt: "There is a reason why this game is cheap. Simply because it is a waste of money. Sega Bass Fishing Duel is only suitable for people with patience and a knowledge of fishing. It is possibly the worst game on the shelf right now in my opinion. The graphics are the only thing good to come out of this game, and frankly that isn't much of an accomplishment. The previous games on the dreamcast were quite dull and this game hasn't improved much in it's ...
