Astro Boy

The Next Level
8 September 2004
  • Excerpt: Osamu Tezuka would have really loved Astro Boy for the PS2. He'd be amazed at the technology, of course, but the game also does a great job of presenting the characters and settings he created more than fifty years ago. The story and control bring the player right into Astro's world and we watch as he develops and interacts with a large cast of characters. And there are even more characters and incidents illustrated in the game via collectible cards.

Astro Boy Review

GameSpot
24 August 2004
  • Excerpt: For a while there back in July, August was shaping up to be an incredible month for games based on the Japanese manga and anime classic, Astro Boy. Two different titles by two legendary developers were to be released within days of each other. The first, Treasure's Astro Boy: Omega Factor, turned out to be one of the best Game Boy Advance games to date and a legitimate contender for GBA game of the year.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: My only real gripe with the game was that Atom doesn't shoot bullets from his ass like in the Gameboy Advance version, but other than that, Astro Boy rocks! However, despite how great I think the game is it's a little hard to recommend as a purchase mainly because of its length. This is pretty much a 4 hour game (we managed to breeze through it on our second play through in a little over 3.5 hours).

Astro Boy -

Futuregamez.net
26 April 2005
  • Summary: Astro Boy unfortunately doesn’t do Tezuka Osamu’s creation much justice at all. The plot and engine behind the game are solid; however they haven’t been stretched out to their full potential, leaving the gamer asking for more. Astro Boy is best reserved for the fans after a quick blast, or the younger audiences.

Astro Boy - Review (PS2)

Konsolen-World
4 February 2006
