Amazon
18 September 2003
  • Summary: This product is a great price; the PROBLEM is it won't ship until at least Dec. 27 - Jan. 8. You won't find this out until you've gotten all the way to the checkout page. How annoying!!! Below the price it reads: "Usually ships within 24 hours." WRONG!!

2003 WAS A LOT BETTER

Fernando Arana, Amazon
18 September 2003
  • Summary: I can't believe there are some people who give this game 5 stars. I have played ASB games for years now and 2003 is the best one yet. What did they do with the camera angle? How about the lousy frame rate? How about catching the ball 3 feet from your glove?

Overall Enjoyable, minor issues

Amazon

  • Summary: I am a basesball fan and when the 2003 baseball lineup came out, I knew that I was going to buy this game. I enjoyed playing ASB 2003, and I knew that 2004's edition would have improvements. The graphics are nice, and the announcers are as well.

  • Summary: I would be giving this game a 5/5 if it were not for one problem this game is a very well made game it is feature packed and the feilding is flawless. Also they included many more teams such as negro league all stars and the best players of all time on one team.

Much improved, but not quite a grand slam

Amazon

  • Summary: I have been a fan of the All Star Baseball series ever since I bought my first version for N64 - ASB 1999. It was a great first effort, much improved by the offering for the same system of a year later.

just pick it up and play ball

d k scalf, Amazon
17 September 2003
  • Summary: I've been looking for a readily playable baseball disk to just pop in the player and run with. This game allows you to do that. You have to time your hits to get the best results, and the pitcher's control becomes harder the more tired he gets. Simply incredible.

Quantum Leap Ahead

Andrew Hill, Amazon
17 September 2003
  • Summary: After Triple Play 2002 ended up a coaster, the case a leveler for a wobbly table, I was reluctant to get back into the baseball mode for fear that electronic baseball peaked with Intellivision.

Here is my Honest Opinion

Ken, Amazon

  • Summary: I went to Blockbuster about a week ago knowing i was going to get some kind of baseball game. When i skimmed through all the baseball games, i noticed that High Heat 2004 and MVP 2003 were out of stock. The only one left was All-Star Baseball 2004.

An impressive baseball experience

Amazon

  • Summary: I have been a fan of the ASB series ever since it debuted on the N64 -- I bought both the 1999 and 2001 versions, and they were both solid games. I couldn't wait for Acclaim's adaptation of the series to the PS2.

Excellent Baseball Sim

Stephen A. English, Jr., Amazon
17 September 2003
  • Summary: I found this to be one of the best baseball simulations I've played yet...and I've played quite a few. Baseball sims are generally pretty tough to make realistic in gameplay, either they skew too much to offense or defense, but this one had really good gameplay and a great options menu between...
