Ace Combat : Squadron Leader

Conclusion: I actually really enjoyed this game, despite my initial scepticism regarding the whole flight sim genre. Although its hardly leaps and bounds ahead of it predecessor, its still an enjoyable game. The campaign mode is pretty lengthy in itself which increases longetivity, but its scarce in terms of other options.
Summary: Sorry but cant understand the rave reviews for this game. My expectations were probably set too high having played combat flight Sims on the PC. In those you start off on an airfield, then take off and do the mission have some excitement, possibly pick up some opportune target on the way come back on a pre-planned course and then land. I see absolutely no landing or taking off in this game even in the Campaign mode.
Summary: I remember playing Ace Combat 2 on the PS1 and loving it, but I haven't played any since. And before buying this, I was hesitant, because maybe this isn't as good a game as they were back then, but decided to buy it anyway because I wanted a good air combat game(pun intended). It didn't disappoint. Memorable story and superb gameplay. Would recommend.
Summary: Ace combat 5: Squadron Leader it's not just a game. The Feelings that you are incredible the soundtrack the memorable characters nothing else come close. As a gamer i recommend this game to all people that like the hobby of gaming because this is one of the best games no the best game that exists.
Summary: I love AC games, they are great flight combat games, probably the best out there, and this is probably one of there finest examples. I think what sets them apart from the rest is the great stories they put you in during the game. you really attach to some of the characters care for them as you progress along. Along with this is the game-play itself.
Summary: This is definitely up there with the likes of Devil May Cry and Tekken 5 in the pantheon of PS2 classics for me. Ace Combat really does have the gameplay mechanics for a fun flight sim nailed. I grew up playing games like F-22 Raptor and Hind 95 that were pretty inaccessible but from the moment I first played Ace Combat 3 I knew where my flight sim future lay.
Summary: If i could put this game into one word, it would be FANTASTIC! The new ability to control your own squadron is so cool, i still play it now because it is really good, unlocking aircraft is exciting as it could ever be, definitely has to be PS2's leading aircraft for flight simulation and action packed together.
