Conclusion: In the end, Ace Combat 5 is a decent game over it's predecessor with better graphics, CGI storytelling and gut wrenching sounds and sense of speed. However, the same formula from 04 and that damn annoying Bill Paxton wannabe does hurt it a bit, but nothing that hurts the overall feel of the game. If you liked the first one, you'll probably like this one too, but just to be safe rent this first.
Pros: The first time I saw Ace Combat 5 on the shelf I was a bit intrigued and yet cautious. Even though it's predecessor (Ace Combat 04) was a decent game, it still left me wanting more from it and looking at this game it seems as though as it was going to do the same. After constantly encountering it on the shelves, watching the price drop each and every time I finally bit the bullet and bought it when the price was just right enough ($9.99). My first impression of the ga...
Cons: Well, a few things bothered me, one of which is the pointless and stupid conversations you have during missions. Why this was added to this I'll never understand, it does nothing to the storyline. Originally when I first encountered it I picked the positive option each time, fearing that somehow it would screw up the mission or eventually hurt me later in the game, but it turns out you can keep giving the negative option each and every time and the story remains the s...
Summary: Again this game is nearly perfect. It does a great job of going back in time and telling events of what leads to the events of Ace Combat 4. It does a great job of telling a story and makes you become emotionally attached to the characters. If you enjoyed any of the other Ace Combat games then you will enjoy this one.
Summary: Ace Combat 5 is a great game!If you love flying and seeing things blow up and shooting things the this is a great game! You get to fly popular jets like the F-22 F-15 and Migs ect. I owen this game and i love it. If your not too sure... then atleast rent the game and try it for your self!
Summary: Ace Combat 5 is excellent fighter pilot game. It pocesses large amounts of combat aircraft you can choose from and fly after you earn the right amount of points to purchuse the aircraft. You are also able to sell previous aircraft you have bought in previvous missions. The dialog in this game could be better but it still exceeds many other games.
Summary: A vast improvement over AC4. The graphics are better, the controls are faster, and the story is better. The only problem I have with it is that some missions are tedious and uneccesary, like the one where you guide the transport plane through the radar field.
Ace Combat 5 (PS2): Fans of the series will like this instalment.

Summary: This is the 5th instalment of the much loved Ace Combat series from Project Aces, who are part of Namco and specialise in developing flight simulations. Depending on which version you get, European or American/ Japanese, it is called : Squadron Leader (for the European) or The Unsung War for the latter. The main aspect of this game takes all the tried and tested elements of the first four , the gameplay and action is all there.
Pros: Great gameplay, storyline and command / aircraft landing gimics
Summary: I have to admit, this game is insane. I always loved the series, but this one is just too cool. Lot of planes to unlock, for campain, and an arcade challenge that i found very hard hehe. But my favorite part is the replay in campain mode, they are just awesome. I just can't beleive i own a PS2 while watching this! The only tiny thing i didnt like is the menu, i took some time to undertand it, but when you learn the trick, you are an Ace Combatant!
Pîlotar un avión militar sin muchas complicaciones
28 May 2005
